Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Do I just contact them through the reservation line? I have never made special requests for our past visits to other resorts other than what was available online. Thanks for the help!

Yes. Just call the main reservations line, give the Phone CM your reservation number and tell them you would like to add some room requests to your reservation.

Ok after reading through some things about room requests....is it correct that since I am booked water view and want to be closest to OPR that I should request Martinique 24,25,26 and/or Trinidad North 31,32,33 ?

Yup. There are Water View rooms in each one of those locations.

Thanks, I am so conflicted because I initially wanted to stay in Jamaica since we have never stayed there before...but only waterview rooms were available so I hate to pass up being able to request a preferred area! We did love Martinique last time, although we also liked Aruba too.
So what about Jamaica..with a waterview what would be a good request?

Jamaica 45 with a Water View would be excellent. Because a Water View room will be close to and facing the lake making it closest to the bridge. You'll probably have a quicker walk to OPR and the Main Feature Pool from there than you would from most Water View rooms in Trinidad North and even closer than some in Martinique.

We are less than a month away and I have two questions that I am not sure have been answered on this thread.
Can someone tell me if surrey bikes are allowed on the bridges to/from caribbean cay?
Also does anyone know the specific travel times to the parks, springs and water parks via disney transportation? I'm thinking we might try out uber/lyft and trying to budget when it would be best to use these services? TIA

MK - 13-15 mins
EP - 6-7 mins
HS - 5-6 mins
AK - 8-9 mins
BB - 6-7 mins
TL - 5-6 mins
Springs - 6-7 mins

Yup.

Awesome!!! Thank you for the quick response - I am surprised at how low the travel times are. maybe not much of a need for uber/lyft - I was nervous after reading other posts esp with water parks and springs

Okay, your reply just made me realize that these times are prior to the new Water Park bus schedule/route. We have not been down yet since they made the change.

That's ok - the times to the parks and springs are encouraging :)
Perhaps someone else has recent experiences with the water parks

We have a water view reserved and will have two rooms. I have linked both reservations and have requested joining rooms. Where is the best water view joining rooms?
I had already requested Martinique or Jamaica.

We have a standard room booked. Can anyone advise best building for standard rooms to get to and from main pool area. My kids are going to want to utilize the pool to the fullest during our down time. I'm looking at 45 in Jamica I think, and 51. I'd really like to request 31 in Trinidad North based on the map, but I'm reading conflicting information on whether there are any standard rooms in that building.

There are no standard rooms in Trinidad North. Only Waterview, King and Preferred.
In Martinique the closest buildings that would offer standard room options would be building 22.
These 2 buildings would be about the same distance as Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51.

Here is the official information, provided by mickeystoontown, that is posted on the first page of this thread:

"Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
is made up of six villages that are almost mirror images of the other. The exceptions are the colors of the buildings and their booking category.

Trinidad North:
All the buildings have rooms classified as either Preferred, Water View or King.

Martinique:
Buildings 24, 25 and 26 have rooms classified as either Preferred, Water View or King.
Buildings 21 and 22 have rooms classified as either Standard, Water View or King.
Building 23 has rooms classified as either Standard or King.

Barbados:
Buildings 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 have rooms classified as either Standard, Water View or King.
Building 16 has rooms classified as either Standard or King.

Aruba:
All the buildings have rooms classified as either Standard, Water View or King.

Jamaica:
Buildings 41, 42, 43, 44 and 45 have rooms classified as either Standard, Water View or King.
Building 46 has rooms classified as either Standard or King.

Trinidad South:
All the buildings have rooms classified as either Pirate Standard or Pirate Water View."

Sorry not sure if this is correct place for this question but my plane arrives at MCO at 12:30 pm. We are doing the ME to CBR. Planning on going to MK that day. Any idea on what time I should look for on fast pass +? I was thinking I wouldn't be able to get one until the 5-6 time slot. Was planning on space mtn first.

I wouldn't make one any earlier than 4:00 to be safe.

We were there in June right when they made the water park bus change. Going to TL in the morning was like a 5 minute ride. Coming back transferring in DS took like an hour! Hopefully they are running more buses or we just had missed the bus because it was a long wait. It was like 1-2 minutes from TL to DS but then the wait for the CBR bus to come was an hour. Maybe we just had bad luck that day. Hoping it's better now.
