What are the best buildings to stay in for the regular rooms with 2 beds that are close for transportation or first on stops? Also are the pools heated in the winter?

First off, I wouldn't worry about being close to transportation as there are bus stops in all of the resort villages. Having said that, depending on what entrance the buses use, Jamaica or Martinique will be the first stop. If they use the front entrance, Martinique will be first and Barbados last. If they use the side entrance, Jamaica will be first and Trinidad South with be last. We have stayed in all of the resort villages with the exception of the two Trinidad villages. If you didn't book a pirate room (all in Trinidad South) or a preferred room (some of which are in Trinidad North), then you'll be placed in one of the other villages. We don't really have a preference since we like them all but I would probably suggest Jamaica or a non-preferred building in Martinique. Hope all that made sense.

I know that the first page of this thread says that there are no elevators at the Caribbean Beach resort but someone at Disney told me that there are elevators. We plan to stay in the Martinique village (preferred room). does anyone know if there are elevators in Martinique? We have someone with a mobility issue so would need ground floor rooms if there are no elevators. I keep getting conflicting information so I'm hoping that someone who's been there can confirm for me. Thanks in advance!

No elevators. You can request a ground floor room due to mobility issues and I am sure they will accommodate. They asked us about this on the online check in form and again when we checked in.

Definitely no elevators, so you'll want to request first floor. :)

Definitely no elevators. I would call Disney Travel and let them know that your request for a ground floor is due to medical issues.

I'll be doing online check in soon for the first time. Previously, I've always had requests noted on my reservation. If I have a request already noted, am I right to assume that my online check in requests should differ from those? For instance, if I ask to be in Aruba or Jamaica, should I not make those one of my choices during online check in? Naturally, I know requests are exactly that and not guaranteed. I just don't want to be redundant with my requests.

I have never been turned down for a lower level room because of my medical issues. Call them...has always worked for me.

We are staying at CBR for the first time in December in a water view room (that was all we could get) and I was wondering if someone could recommend which area to stay in? Our TA asked me today what my preference was, and I have no idea what to tell her! Thanks!

Martinique or Jamaica would be my choice, but really its such a great resort anywhere is good for me!

Yes thank you all for making it smaller than it sounds!! I've only ever been to value resorts. Pop 3 times, ASMov, and AOA. Stayed in Little Mermaid rooms at AOA but still only had 1 bus stop to deal with. Love Carribean feel but was worried about how everyone was complaining about the walking. I guess if I can walk the mermaid room walk then I can enjoy CBR!

Trinidad North or Jamaica. Your TA should have resources to know what buildings are closest to OPR.

Magic Kingdom is about 15 minute ride. Epcot is about 12 minutes. DHS is about 12 minutes. AK is the furthest ride. As for size...the size of the resort is way overblown. There are bus stops at each village. Have never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus to any park except once during Christmas. I have more than 60+ days at CBR and have never had a major issue with bus service.

Do the busses stop at each bus stop before heading to the parks? And same question for busses heading back to the resort.

Just wondering what choices are available for requests on the online booking request page. If someone has an screenshot for those that would rock!☺

I actually have one, if someone would be kind enough to talk me through posting an image on here!

There should be an image for the choices on the first page of this thread. Correction: I thought there was, but I don't see one. I've seen it somewhere though, perhaps on a Facebook page.

Yes. But it is not that big of a deal. I've been near the first stops and near the last stops. The time goes fast.

Has anyone ordered from Amazon prime and had it shipped to the resort? Did you just use the address in the opening posts of this thread?

Also, is the a schedule of events for each day like pool parties and outdoor movies? Where do we find that?

Are the pools heated in the winter? We are looking at end of Feb but u never know how the weather will be that time of the year? TIA
