I just booked our first ever F&W Festival time for CBR. So excited...hubby and I love food and CBR looks like a great resort (it's our first time there, too).

I have seen some worrying comments about housekeeping for this resort on other websites. Things cant be too bad given all the positive comments on this thread. I am trying not to work myself up too much, but I am a little worried. We have never stayed here before.

@Nhebron, (Can't quote for some reason) I wouldn't worrry too much. We have stayed at the resort many many times and haven't had a mousekeeping issue. If you do, go straight to the concierge desk in Old Port Royale or in the Custom House and complain immediately.

It usually takes me 3-4 tries to get a CM that knows what this is. I've also had good luck calling the Disabilities Line (407) 560-2547

We had zero complaints about housekeeping. They did great for us. Our first day we needed more towels, and they brought a huge bag full within 15 minutes. We needed bed rails, they were there when we returned. We needed new bed rails after we couldn't figure out how to get them back on the bed, and they replaced them (and the lady that brought the new one couldn't figure it out either!). Our room was spotless every day. They left tons of extra shampoo when I asked for 2-3 extras. DD got sick in the bathroom one night, and we cleaned it up as best we could, but we had dirty towels from it, and it just smelled like sick. We left a bigger tip and a note apologizing for the bag full of dirty/wet towels, and let them know what happened, and when we returned in the evening the room smelled like nothing happened.

In regards to housekeeping and transportation you will read a plethora of complaints about every single resort. The majority of time both are fine at all of these resorts.

We just returned from CBR last week after a 9 night stay and there was nothing to complain about in regards to housekeeping. I think we had one day we didn't get quite enough towels and they didn't leave clean glasses but such a small thing it was really no big deal. The rooms were clean and housekeepers were very nice even leaving extras of things when they noticed or after we'd make one request for something.

The only time we had a problem with mousekeeping was last Christmas Eve. They did not show (apparently it was our regular's day off and we got missed somehow). I called and within 10 minutes someone was in my room cleaning. Heck, I ran into our regular mousekeeper one day and joking said that DH had messed up her towel elephant and this is what we came back to that night. A rowboat made of towels full of my sons stuffed animals and towel animals, towel animals next to it and even a towel monkey hanging on the sliding door. She was so good I even made sure to tell the manager just how good when we were waiting for the ME. Hmmmm was going to put a picture here but, for some reason it won't let me. Anyway, you get the idea. Absolutely nothing to worry about!

I cant quote either! thought it was just me! oh well.... oh btw..just noticed the Crowd calendars have all changed...looking like our August trip just went from a 6 to a 9...Ugh and double Ugh.. its all booked and payed for now so we will have to just brave the storm so to speak.

oh my gosh...you only have 2 days to go ! yay..safe trip and honk that horn good style in the tunnel for me at Mobile ! lol ( we are flying this year so you need to honk it for me ) have a wonderful time

Thanks pktbMouse! I will definitely be honking the horn in the tunnel. You know that's a ritual in our family. Only, last year, we were stuck in stupid traffic and there was no way that I was honking the horn. Somebody mighta gone all road rage on us.

Yikes, DW would freak if we were stuck in traffic in THAT tunnel...she hates going through it as it is...almost as much as she hates the Lake Charles bridge...I think I covered those in my TR...I love that tunnel, one of several "on the way to WDW" icons for me.

As for Mousekeeping...we had a fantastic person for the first part of our trip...We had been leaving her tip folded into shapes with notes and she left us nice notes and great towel art...then she must have had days off, the last two days were good, but no notes back, no towel art...really missed her.

It lets me quote but, I tried to put a picture in earlier and it would not let me do that. Something is definitely going on here.

We usually just run water through the coffee maker without any coffee in it.

Are you clicking on Reply at the bottom right of the post? It took me a minute to figure it out because you don't click Quote anymore.
