Aaagggghhhhhh SO DID WE FOR OUR STAY OCT.31-NOV.8!!!!!! IM SO EXCITED I THOUGHT THERE WAS NO CHANCE!!!! YEA!!!!!!!
party:I FEEL THE SAME WAY. I had previous ressies for a preferred room but I really wanted to add another day, I booked before FD so it happened to be that when I called FD had released the day before so when I asked to add another night nothing avail not even going to a standard. But I kept trying and nothing. So I tried playing with a new ressie and sure enough it was avail. I had to cancel my existing preferred room to get standard but it's worth ANOTHER DAY AT DISNEY!:cool1:

Hello all! I see that lots of ya'll were able to book free dining. Can I just say that I am officially JEALOUS! I just updated the beach bum roll call to add...get this.....37 new people to the list. I was pages and pages behind. As I always say, if I missed your name, it was not intentional. Please let me know and I'll get you added.

A big ol' thank ya to all of those who have stepped in to answer questions!

Thank you so much for this awesome thread!!! We've never been to CBR and soooo excited! I was only able to book a water view room with FD and super excited!

I know requests are requests but I would really like a building close to OPR - which building is good to request? I've read Aruba and Jamaica? Also am I correct that the buses don't have the same route?

Please add us to roll call for sept 24 - October 4. :-)

Congrats! You will love CBR! :) Yes, Aruba and Jamaica are the closest to OPR with the exception of the preferred rooms. This is because they are close to the bridge that connects one side of the resort to the other. You can see a map as well as bus information on page 1 of this thread. Lots of great info there!

Our non-Disney summer vacation plans have fallen through, and on a whim, I looked at WDW for our travel dates instead. CBR has the best rate available for our party of 5 and it's a water view. I'm going to call our travel agent on Monday for advice, but we are leaning towards booking it! This will be our first trip to WDW and are planning 6 days/nights on property. Kids are 10, 8, 6.

Is there anything in particular I should request or look out for? I never thought I'd be planning our first Disney trip last minute and for peak travel season. (First week of August.) Now I'm going back to page 1 of this thread and also doing a search for trip reports including CBR.

Hi all, we only have to wait until the 20th before jetting off to CBR. It's been a long time coming! Can anyone that's been recently help me out please, what toiletries are in the rooms? Trying to limit what I bring over. Also can you drink the water from the taps, are mosquitoes a problem at all? I suffer badly if I get bitten.
We haven't hired a car but would like to go to a shopping centre one day, where is the nearest and are taxis expensive? Will need to get a taxi to discovery cove too....so many questions I can't remember them all now!!!!

As I type this, I'm in total disbelief. After being shut out of FD, yes shut out, with an online system that was totally dysfunctional, and a phone system that would not even let me que up to try for FD to start with. I finally got through late on Tuesday evening and, of course, there was nothing left. The CM said to keep checking, which I did for awhile but to no avail. Oh well, maybe there'll be room discount.

This morning DW asked if I'd checked lately, so I took a peek. OMG, there was a FD standard room staring me in the face! I started clicking and wonder of wonders, everything worked and we now have FD for our trip. Still can't quite believe it!

So, if like us, you missed out, I say keep looking, miracles can happen!

Ok I'm dying here. Just checked my dates for the 100000 time and found a free dining opening for my dates I am booked with a TA with a lot of money down already. I left her a message and emailed her. Being Saturday and thinking she may not see the messages anytime soon should I just book it and transfer it to her later? Is that rude?

We are staying at CBR for the first time in the beginning on November. We have two kids. I am looking at the resort map and noticing how big the resort is. Any suggestions on what village I should request?

I would. You never know if it will be snapped up or how many rooms are available for your specific dates under the deal. Just get your other one canceled as soon as possible. There have been reports of people with multiple ressies, same date, same people in the room being canceled by Disney. Good luck!

momof2halls Free dining for 2016 launched here in the UK for 2016 on 23rd April - gives us plenty of time to save :)

They have also changed our tickets (which have always been different to yours) and now they have taken Disney Quest off our tickets and added a 'free' memory maker.
We are planning for 2016, how did you book free dining for next year?

Unfortunately there is also a negative - we only get free breakfast if staying at a value resort (I believe you get free qsdp)
we get free qsdp staying at a moderate and only free ddp if staying at a deluxe or dvc.
Guess it's swings and roundabouts. Hope you get free ddp for your trip :)

It looks like some more rooms are available for FD now. I just saw a standard room available at CBR for Nov 8 to Nov 15.

So I have a really random question and you have been great about answering my other questions. I thought I would ask here. I thought I had read somewhere that someone had bought discounted disney gift cards at costco. does anyone know if this is true? I just got a membership to costco and was curious. Thanks so much!

Yep...it's something like 4% cheaper. 5% cheaper at Target with a Redcard.
