Okay, so I haven't posted in a while because I feel really badly that I completely failed in my mission to check on construction progress when I was at CBR back in February. But since it's all done now, I'm hoping I'm forgiven :) (and I'm thinking no one even remembers this but me.....).
Anyway, we're heading back to the World in July for a week at the Polynesian, but I was able to add on 4 nights at CBR to the beginning of the trip and I'm so excited :cloud9:. We've never spent more than a week, and I've been so jealous of everyone that can do 10 days or two weeks (mickeystoontown, for example :thumbsup2). My oldest is graduating from high school this year, and I'm thinking this could possibly be our last trip all together (I really hope not, but you never know), so I wanted to make a real celebration out of it. So excited to see all the new pictures and join back into this thread!!!

Dates at CBR - 7/22-7/26/2015
My oldest is in the Army National Guard and my youngest is in college. Seems like yesterday that we were at CBR for Christmas with them in 1st grade and Pre-school.

I got in on FD at the last minute with a Pirate room-which I'm not thrilled about, but will do because "hey, its Disney!". Dates are Dec 15-21. I have a question, how early can package park tickets be picked up or activated (whatever you call it) before our check-in day? I'm thinking of adding a couple of days to the front end of our trip. Thanks . :)

Up to 3 days early.

Congrats on your child graduating! They disappear from you so quick once college starts. :sad2: This does however mean that the trip will have even greater meaning and awesome memories! I did graduation trips a little differently with the 2 that have graduated so far. I am a big baby about "losing" my kids. I went alone with each one of my daughters when they graduated both high school and college. I had to have my mommy time in! I spread my kids out, so now I have one left at home DS13. I don't know that dad will let me get away with that again. I might have to "share" this time and let DH come. :rotfl: Have a great time and make sure you take lots of pictures!!

Thank you! Yes, that's what I'm afraid of happening - although he is a huge Disney fan as well, so I think he'll keep coming with us as long as I keep asking ;). It will also be his 18th birthday, so it will definitely be a meaningful trip!!

I've taken each of my two older boys on a "mom/son" trip - and they were so great! We just did short trips - 3/4 days, so we didn't have time to miss the rest of the family, and they got to plan the whole thing (resort, dining, parks, etc). Starting to talk now about my youngest's special trip :goodvibes

Welcome back!!!!! No need to feel badly. I didn't get any "real" pictures of the construction while we were there either. Yay for a long trip! You know that we love longer trips and I think that I could stay there for even longer if my pocketbook would allow.

Thanks - glad to be back!! Someday I'm hoping to stretch it to two weeks, but I'm easing DH in with 10 days ;) Can't believe your trip is coming up so soon- looking forward to hearing about all your adventures!

My oldest son and I have taken 2 father-son trips to WDW by ourselves. Christmas one year and for his 18th as well. He turns 21 in 4 weeks and wants to go to Vegas this year.

Does anyone know if they have volleyball nets on the beach? If so would we need to bring our own ball? :daisy:

Just wondering if all of the rooms have been refurbished now? We are going in August for FD and have a preferred room (hoping it's one of the refurbished ones).

Was just able to secure FD for our entire stay 12/20-12/27 (was only able to get 12/20-12/26 previously). I had to upgrade to pool/water view from standard so I didn't save much, but super :hyper:.

Should we be looking at Jamaica as our room request?
