I believe that someone stated that they saw work going on in Martinique 24 which is a preferred building. Hopefully, someone who is there or will be there soon can report back with an update.
That was me! January 12th they were working on Martinique 24. Not sure how much further they've gotten in the last 10 days since I'm back home now.

I don't usually re-post photos but thought it was appropriate for this question; Lisa, are they cases or 12 packs? It looks like they could just be 12 but it's hard to tell.

I believe that they were 12 packs but I can't say with certainty because I didn't actually open the case to look when we were there.

i have pics from november if you want them

Yes, please do post them! I'll post the link to your pictures in the informational posts. Thanks in advance!

I changed my reservation from POFQ to CBR today !!

I have only stayed at AKL and POFQ, so I have a lot of questions.

I read through hundreds of pages about this resort and the most recent thread is great! I love all the pics and details. SO, if I missed the answers to the questions I have please forgive me. I really do appreciate the attention to this thread and look forward to advice about our stay at CBR.

First, I have a standard view booked but I may change it to a King room. If I request a room near the food court will the standard view or King room be most likely to get a room near the food court? Next, is it worth it to upgrade to a King room? It is only DH and myself but we usually have 2 Queen beds so either way if okay for us? Also, What requests would you make and how (via fax around 5 days before arrival or calling or online) to be closest to OPR?

Our travel dates are September 12-19, 2015. Again, thank you for your help.

I know that someone else has answered your questions already but I just wanted to comment. I see that you are from Northeast Louisiana. We are in North Louisiana. Howdy neighbor!

We booked a BB while we were there!!!! September 5th-12th!

We LOVED the resort!!!! The information in these threads help make our trip GLORIOUS!!!!!

Canine be added please. :). Checking in July 2-7. Then will be switching to POR riverside for the next 5 nights.

We've stayed at every value and every deluxe on property ( except GF). On our Christmas trip a few weeks ago, we ventured over to see the mods . We all loved both CBR and POR so decided to do a split stay to try them both. :thumbsup2. We do split stays quite a bit so no biggie for us.

Very excited to try 2 new to us resorts! We spend a lot of time in the pools and the pool here looks amazing!

I don't think I posted in this thread before - we'll be at CBR May 2-9, the pics in here are what sealed the deal for DH and I! It'll be me and DH, and 5 y/o DD. Neither DH nor I have been to WDW since we were both 10 - in 1981! Epcot was under construction when I was there, so I'm sure a lot has changed. I also got to visit DLR in the early 90s. DD asks every day when we can go to Disney and we tell her maybe in a year or two. She has no idea that we're going!

Oopsie...sorry PolyAddict, I didn't mean to miss your dates. They are added now and so are IrishNYC, Jenny-momof3 and MmmSuite.

Hello all! We are considering staying at CBR in April. I know that the USASF Cheerleading Worlds will be going on then. Has anyone stayed there during this time? (it is offered as a resort, along with All Stars, to the teams) I was just wondering if it's tolerable! LOL

We are booked from 4/12-19 for standard view @ CBR. This is our honeymoon, DH has never been to Disney and I haven't been in over 10 years so we are both very excited!

Thank you for all the information on the boards that you all provide. It has been invaluable in planning the trip.

Checked in this morning.
We are in Building 44 in Jamaica and have a lovely view of the water and pool.

Going out for a round of golf since today is so nice, and off to Typhoon Lagoon tomorrow, supposed to be in the low 80s.

:goodvibes

Our first stay at CBR this August (well I'm lying we stayed two nights a few years ago but didn't do parks or anything...just room only!)

We normally stay at POR and are looking to do things that we can't do at POR.

We are staying 10 nights at CBR and I have a question...what are some must dos at CBR? I have heard movie time at CBR is so nice on the beach.

I see they have the pirate cruise and I'm wondering if its worth the $37 price tag? I have three kids (ages 11, 9 and 7 when we go), would they like it? Is it worth the $37?

Any other tips?

Hi CBR experts!

I am debating changing my existing reservation for Memorial Day 2015 from CSR to CBR. We're trying to change it up and stay everywhere at least once. Since CBR will have just finished their renovations, we figured it would be a good time to try it out.

Here's why I pause. My husband has mobility issues that make stairs very difficult for him. We avoid them as much as possible, including in the parks. After a long day of walking, the last thing he needs is a flight of stairs to contend with. We will also have a 9 month old, his stroller, and all of the goodies that come with that.

Any advice? What are the chances that in a busier holiday week we will not be able to get a first floor room? This would be a deal breaker for us. Thanks!

Hi! This is the first time that I have happened upon this thread. Loved all the pictures and the info! We just got back from our first stay at CBR January 8 - 13. We booked a room at Wilderness Lodge Villas for the early part of the week with our DVC points but couldn't get a room there for the rest of our stay due to the marathon bookings; had always been curious about CBR and decided to give it a try. Stayed in 4602 in Jamaica; requested a handicap accessible room because we can't do stairs and need the grab bars. We were first given a room in building 44, but were concerned about the walk to the bus stop and Old Port Royale so they moved us to 46, which was a little closer. As it turned out, I don't think it would have mattered much and either one would have worked out okay. I walk with a cane due to a knee problem and my hubby has lots of arthritis and back problems but we found the bus was not difficult to walk to and we rather enjoyed a leisurely stroll over to OPR. Bus transportation was fine; the only problem we had was the night of our anniversary, when Mother Nature decided to send torrential rains and we decided not to brave the tempest and get drenched on our way to our reservation at the California Grill (we did DME this trip and didn't have a car). So we did pizza delivery instead! We had a very nice dinner a different night at Shutters and were quite impressed with the food there. The food court was crowded and noisy but food offerings were many and various. The room was very comfortable and we would enjoy staying in this resort again, will recommend it to family and friends!;)

Let all be known that the Wiles family is booked for June 5 through the 12th. Can't wait!! Is it June yet?... How about now??... Now?? No!? Ok... Well we would like to be added to the roll please!!!

I just wanted to give you a heads up on the split stay. We stayed one night at POR on Dec. 18th. On the 19th we switched to CBR for 11 nights. It was great except for one thing. When we checked into CBR our room was not ready so we went to the park. We got back late and could not get into our room. We all had to go back to the Customs house and get our magic bands redone again. Everything was fine until the day of our check out. DH and I went outside and then when we tried to get back in, all we got was red. Thank goodness my son was still inside sleeping and we woke him and he let us in. We went to concierge and they said they fixed our bands. After breakfast DH and DS went back to the room while I was boxing up goodies with what was left from our free dining and my son showed up. Mom, we still can't get in. The never could fix it. For some reason the bands kept kicking back to the POR reservation. They finally ended up giving us 1 card to use for a key. So then of course when the bellman showed up and I had to go with our bags, the boys were about to come back from the pool. Needless to say, I had the key card and they were locked out again. It was an experience that we will never forget. I talked with the manager and told him what had happened and that I knew it was not CBR's fault and that there was nothing he could do for me but, someone needed to look into this so it did not happen to anyone else. He was great...he ended up giving us a refund for the last night. Hopefully they got this problem fixed but, keep your eyes opened because it could happen at any split stay and trust me when I say it was not fun.

BTW....can anyone tell me how to get my ticker off? We went last month and apparently it just started the count down over. Maybe the ticker knows something I don't and we'll get to go back this Christmas! :lmao:
