When I had first booked for FD I booked 2 rooms at Pop (we are a fam of 6, kids are 6-11). The CM assured me the connecting rooms were guranteed due to the age of the children. After stalking WDW site and seeing CBR available I modified with a CM and she said they were NOT guaranteed but she was putting the request in. SO I was told 2 different things and I don't think it has anything to do with the resorts. My question is when I am able to do on-line check in or simply call 5 days prior to my trip, do I need to confirm/repeat this request and is it possible to also request a specific building? Obviously I would tell them the priority is connecting rooms but wasn't sure if anyone had luck with that as well as getting the location they want?

At least you got accurate information about connecting rooms from the CM that booked your CBR stay.

To give yourself the best chance at getting connecting rooms I would make that your only request. I would call about 5-6 days out and ask the CM to read you any requests on your reservation just to make sure. If connecting rooms is there you're good. Then skip the room request section during online check in.

Every village has its own bus stop and quiet pool, so no matter where you are you will always be very close to one of those. The following buildings are the closest non-preferred locations to OPR (Food Court) and Main Feature Pool:

Jamaica 45
Aruba 51
Martinique 21, 22 and 23

Of the above, Jamaica 45 is our favorite. But all of these are between a 3-4 minute stroll to OPR and the Main Pool.

dansdad - If we wanted one of those rooms and a pull down bed, would you recommend making our request: Jamaica 45 (or Aruba 51) with two queens and a pulldown bed?

Yup. Though no need to mention the 2 queens. Just Jamaica 45 and murphy bed.

Thanks! The last two years we stayed at AoA and were upgraded at check-in to a suite, so making requests in advance seems odd to me.

You're welcome. Yeah, with the popularity of the LM rooms they run at nearly 100% occupancy most of the time. So if there's an issue and they have to take some LM rooms out of service those guests get upgraded to Suites.

Hi! I just changed our Caribbean beach resort dates to late October to get free dining! In doing so, we lost our preferred room location and now have a standard room booked. We are unfamiliar with this resort and would like advice on the best standard room location, as far as food and pools are concerned. We are a family of 5 so not sure where those rooms are mainly located. My parents are also booked can we all request the same building as well? Thanks!

Make sure you check out the first 2 pages of this thread. Just about every question you could have will be answered there.

Every village has its own quiet pool and bus stop so you are never far from one of those. The following buildings are the closest non-preferred locations to OPR (food court) and the Main Pool.

There are some in every building except Trinidad South which is 100% Pirate Themed rooms.

My parents are also booked can we all request the same building as well? Thanks!

Yup. I would call with their confirmation number and ask the CM to mark your 2 reservations as "traveling with". Then request to be close to each other.

Even more excited after reading this!!!! The crowds must be worse at Christmas than Spring Break I have never been at a park at capacity. That will be an experience in itself. What is your opinion on the standard rooms at CBR...we are use to preferred when we have stayed at POR but I really wanted the extra time...Should I try to request a building or just wing it and get what we get. I have wanted to stay at this resort for a long time. So glad they added the 5th person! OMG a Christmas bag on the door!!! LOVE IT!!
We have never asked for preferred rooms and have have had standard rooms for all but 2 of our trips. We have never had a problem with the standard rooms because we usually go to the quiet pool or sit on a bench by the lake. And at the Moderates, entry is from the outside and people walk by your rooms, especially if you have ground level. We don't have an issue with that. Plus, we only use are room for sleeping and such. If we decide to stay at the resorts or skip going to a park, then we will walk around or go visit other areas of WDW, that do not cost to get in. Being close to OPR, a pool, or the lake is not really a must for us. And in all honesty, you are no longer than 2-3 minutes away from a quiet pool in your resort.

Just a tip on #1 here....DO NOT try to eat the snow. It's bubbles as DS found out the hard way. :lmao: #3 We were there last year and the year before at Christmas and never got a bag on our door. :confused3 What was in your bag? Did we miss something 2 years in a row?
We had candy, stickers, and a card signed by Mickey and Minnie.

Please add us to the roll call on 9/19 - 9/25. This will be our first time staying at CBR or any moderate resort in WDW. Very excited and have enjoyed reading this thread!!

Does anyone know where the pirate 30-34 rooms are? Saw note on refurb but can't find them on the map?

Coming back to CBR after trying 2 others resorts that we didn't like as much! 12/21-12/29!!!! Wondering what activities they do at the resort on Christmas Day? Anything special beyond normal daily kids activities?

What other resorts? Why did you not like them?

Thanks! Which one would you suggest I request? It's difficult to tell by the pics

FWIW, I would call about 7 days prior. I called 6 days out to double check requests, and the CM told me I did it just in time. He said everything was there, and told me that he could see they were granting all of my requests. We arrive tomorrow, so I will find out for sure.

All of the Pirate Themed Rooms are in Trinidad South. Every room in Trinidad South is a Pirate Themed room. On the map Trinidad South is in the upper right.
