Disney's Boardwalk

Hi there,

Can some kind soul help me out? We are going back to Orlando next Easter, and will be staying offsite. I like the sound of the Boardwalk, and wondered if just anyone can go along there to have a look around the shops etc - or do you need to be staying onsite?

Anyone can go Julie - there are various restaurants The Flying Fish and Spoodles are both good restaurants and you do need Priority Seating for both of them usually, the ESPN Club and Big River Grill and Brewing Works (neither take Priority Seating so you can just walk in).
They have street entertainment and there's also a couple of clubs for over 21s - Jellyrolls, a duelling piano bar and the Atlantic Dance Hall.
I like to visit Boardwalk at night - I think it's really pretty when it's dark!

Where is the Boardwalk ?

According to my (not very good!) map, it seems to be located somewhere between MGM and Epcot.

It sounds interesting - I think we'll give it a visit in April. Anyone recommend any other Disney resorts to visit?

To get to the Boardwalk, leave Epcot by the International Gateway (between the UK and France) and either catch the Friendship boat or walk over the bridge and round to the Boardwalk (only a 5 minute walk).

You can walk round the Boardwalk to the Swan and Dolphin, and then a bit further on to the Yacht and Beach Club resorts (and if you keep going you go ful circle back to Epcot).

Julibro and goofyish are both correct. If you are in Epcot, goofyish is correct about leaving through the International Gateway and taking a boat or walking. It's about a 10 minute walk and you can actually reach the Boardwalk and the Yacht and Beach Club. At the "fork in the road" - the Y&B is to the right, (Swan and Dolphin also). If you go left, you'll go to the Boardwalk. Once you reach the end of the Boardwalk, there is a bridge over to the Swan and Dolphin. If you were to continue down the walkway from the Boardwalk, you'll reach MGM Studios in about 15 mins. Some days it's quicker to walk to MGM from Boardwalk than to wait for the boat.

Friendships leave the International Gateway and head for the Boardwalk, then to Y&B, Swan and Dolphin, and then MGM and then reverse course.

If driving there just follow the signs to the Epcot Resorts and then the Boardwalk.

Just tell the security guard on the hotel gate that you are visiting the Boardwalk and he will direct you to the visitor parking area.

just wondering if you can park at the guest parking at night and if you would be able to see the fireworks from any of the parks.

You might just see MK fireworks over the Yacht Club, but they arefar, far away.

The view of Epcot Illuminations is quite good. Sit on a bench somewhere between Big River Brewhouse and the Dance Hall and you will see the Fireworks above the Roof of Spoodles.

You could also walk all the way past ESPN to the Beach Club Bridge & watch from there, or even go right down to the International Gateway.
