I've been reading up on Disney's Boardwalk, as I think me and DBF would enjoy a night here when we're on our holiday.

But, I'm not too sure where this is located? Also, we like the look of Jellyrolls for an evening out, anyone know if we'd need to pre-book this or if we could just show up on the night we wanted to go?

Disney's Boardwalk is located in the Epcot area hotels. It consists of the Dolphin/Swan hotels, Disney's Boardwalk Hotel, and the Yatch/Beach club resorts. They are all connected around the lake. It is beautiful, and we love walking around there at night. When we go, we don't stay onsite, so we just head to the Boardwalk hotel and park in their guest parking area (or you could do this with any of the above hotels).

Jellyrolls is a walk-in only establishment. It opens at 8pm. I cannot remember the cover charge (guessing around $8 - it could be as much as $12, again, cannot remember). Don't get there too late....It can get pretty packed in there.

If you like Beer, you have to try Big River Grille and Brewing Works - always busy, but worth it. It's right beside Jellyrolls, so you can't miss it. Get the beer sampler - it's all Disney made micro-brewery beer and pretty tasty.

Thanks for the info! Do Disney do busses down to the Boardwalk, only we're staying on property without a car, so I'd either use their transport or have to grab a taxi for us?

DBF likes beer, I guess we'll be taking a trip to Big River Grille and Brewing Works now it's been mentioned :rotfl2:

I do like the look of the Boardwalk, looks such a nice place to have a stroll along like you said, definately somewhere I want to go to check out!

You can take a bus to EPCOT and go out the International Gateway and walk to the Boardwalk or you can take a bus to DHS (formerly MGM) and either walk or take the ferry to the Boardwalk.

A bus from your resort will not directly go to another resort. If it's late when you are wanting to leave the Boardwalk and there aren't anymore busses going from DHS or EPCOT to your hotel, you can take a bus from the Boardwalk to Downtown Disney and change to your resort bus from there.

Thanks for the help Dolce27 :) I've never done Disney before without my parents, so I'm a little intimadated and don't really know what to expect!

Just trying to stock up on as much information as possible before I end up there and find myself in the biggest maze in the world :lmao:

You're welcome. Don't be intimadated .. just have fun! :goodvibes

Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar that is ALOT of fun. The cover charge is $10/person and you must be 21+ to get in. The bar opens at 7pm, with the entertainment starting at 8pm. Weekend and Tuesday nights get crowded early - Sunday and Monday nights are usually the quietest.

Have fun!!! :cool1:

Boardwalk is definitely definitely worth checking out and Jellyrolls can be a blast, enjoy.

Thanks for the head's up! We're both past 21, so that's not a problem, ID will come along though :thumbsup2

Looking forward to this one, even DBF said it sounded cool. Not sure what day we're thinking of going yet, but how 'quiet' is a Sunday and Monday...don't want to be the only ones there :rotfl:

go to Studios (mgm) and take the boat or walk to BW.

if you go Epcot - then you have to go through Epcot and use one of your passes.

the problem with Jellyrolls is getting back. so be prepared to take a taxi back to your room. if Studio is closed and you need to take the DTD bus. that can and sometime does takes hours.

remember that Jellyrolls allows smoking.

Boardwalk is a great choice for adults. Condé Nast Traveler just put Boardwalk on its "Gold List" in the January issue, ahead of the Grand Floridian and Beach and Yacht Clubs. My best friend and her DH stayed there with her SIL and BIL a few years ago before they all had kids and loved it.

Good location for going in the back way to Epcot and enjoying the restaurants there, too.

Thanks to all of you, you've been a massive help! :thumbsup2

I won't mind taking a taxi back to our resort if we have too, I'll probably be too tired to care :lmao: Are taxi's easily accessable from the Boardwalk? (I'm sorry for all the questions...totall newbie on this topic, as last time I was there I wasn't old enough to drink and do all this!)

We'll be fine getting there, either via DHS or Epcot, we have UK Unlimited Passes, so they don't expire for the 14 days.

Looking forward to this now - and there's LOADS of days yet! :scared1:

Taxis will be no problem...in front of the Boardwalk Inn you will find them or a CM there will help you get one. You will like the Boardwalk, it's a terrific place to talk it all in.

And get the Beer Sampler at the Big River Grill, well worth it.

Wonderful...massive thanks guys! Deffo something we'll be checking out for a night or two!

You're all making me even more excited than I already am! Which I suppose ain't a bad thing...

No, you won't be the only ones there by a long shot, but will have a better chance of getting a table down front. And if a convention is in town, it could be busy - you never know there!!!

Cool...I'll bear it in mind for a Sun or Mon evening then :)

It's amazing what Disney has to offer - and what I learn most days about it!

Everynight is fun at Jellyrolls!
There are always people there, but Tues. night
there are lots of castmembers there, so if you want
a good table then I'd get there by 8 or 9pm.
Have fun! It's a very fun and addicting place ;)
