Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Additional note for those with little ones...Leaping Horse Libatiions no longer serves hot food (unless you count mickey pretzels). No more flatbreads etc. Kind of stinks. Ham and turkey sandwiches as well as uncrustables. Heard some guests "taking it out" on the servers...which is poor form...but need to leave the pool for kids staples like chicken fingers burgers and pizza.
Good to know and what a bummer! Definitely not the servers' fault, but I do hate to hear that the flatbreads are off the menu.

It's peculiar since other resorts still offer it (was at kidani and they did). Wondering if they are trying to draw more traffic onto the boardwalk (corn dogs pizza window etc) did see parents doing that. Felt bad for the server who said one dad really yelled...calm down you're on vacation!

Yes, we were there a few weeks ago and noticed this as well. Very unfortunate considering burgers and chicken tenders aren’t really available anywhere at the Boardwalk. Pizza window was lacking in quality. Very much miss the days where I could go get a whole pizza that was hot.

Agreed..however the pepperoni slice i had the first night wasn't the worst I've had at disney..could have been the captain seaside sensations talking though haha.

Hi .. at the boardwalk inn now and unfortunately was placed all the way down the 3rd floor. Pretty much the last room. Closer to Epcot I think. Is there a way of going out to the boardwalk quickly or only option to head back to the lobby.. it’s a really really long walk. I guess I was hoping the experts here can help.. thank you!!!

No, I wish there was an exit closer to Epcot. That would be great! I’ve been the last room on the 4th floor club level. Long walk to the Innkeeper’s Club, long walk to the elevator, and long walk the end of the day. Now, there are stairs where the hall jogs a bit. I’ve used those to go up to club level when I’ve been assigned a 3rd floor deluxe room. Those also go down, but you’d still need to walk to the stairs on the 2nd level to go down to the boardwalk.

Is there a stair nearby that dumps you out by the quiet pool? We were in the last room of one of the hotel wings back in January and while the walk through the halls took forever, we found if we took the stairs right next to our room down to the courtyard by the quiet pool, it was a much quicker walk to the lobby through the courtyard. Since you're on the 3rd floor you're in a different wing than we were, we were on the top floor and only on the second floor, so I don't know if the wing you're in has that option.

Ok great thank you! We will try that. We just finished dinner at cake bake shop and it was amazing!

Does anyone have any "room request" recommendations for a "Resort View" room? I don't want to look at the parking lot - LOL. It's only myself on this trip (though I'm meeting friends for some Christmas fun and games.

Hmm here are a couple.

1. View of the Boardwalk Green (looking toward the BWV building)
2. View of the BWI Courtyard

Do you have a floor that you like the best? For example a 1st floor room would get you an interior looking view of the Inn Courtyard or the section by the quiet pool.

I'm usually a "high floor" person but have never stayed at the Boardwalk so not quite sure what to expect at the Boardwalk as I know top floor may not always be the best request.

But this sounds like good suggestions - the Green and the Courtyard.

I’ve only stayed at 1313 in this room line but enjoyed the view which was of the garden. You’d probably want to stay on an upper floor as the lower level is wheelchair accessible.

There’s a room just outside the entrance to the CL desk (but still a part of CL) with a larger than average terrace overlooking the green; one of my personal favs as you can see the boardwalk if you stand at the outer edge but resting in a chair further back and you take in the peacefulness of the green -unless it’s movie night or choral singing during the December holidays season. That room number ends in 43 I’m pretty sure but will look for a floor layout to doublecheck.

We were in room 2353 in January and absolutely loved it. It's the last room in the hall so has balconies on two sides. It's right next to the stairs to get down tot he quiet pool too, so easy access to that. The only downside is it is a haul from the lobby, but if you cut through the courtyard it's a lot faster. That portion of the building is also only two stories tall, so we were on the top floor.

THANK you!!

Although I usually do a high floor, those first floors terraces look relaxing!
