Does anyone know if you can cast from a phone or iPad to the tv? Or alternatively, is Disney+ available on Boardwalk Villa TVs? I have a subscription, of course.
When I tried and failed, it was DISH Anywhere. I have been successful doing it elsewhere, but again--this was before the recent TV upgrades which I assume were done when BWV was refurbed.DS has been able to cast netflix but I don't remember about Disney+.
We just unplug everything and use 2 FireSticks now and then plug everything back on checkout day.
Much easier for us then to try and cast something.
Yes the TV’s were updated with the refurbishment. When I tried and failed, it was DISH Anywhere. I have been successful doing it elsewhere, but again--this was before the recent TV upgrades which I assume were done when BWV was refurbed.
My DS downloaded Chromecast to his iPhone and was then able to cast YouTube, but he did not try using any other apps.Does anyone know if you can cast from a phone or iPad to the tv? Or alternatively, is Disney+ available on Boardwalk Villa TVs? I have a subscription, of course.
Interesting. Disney has been blocking YouTube from being cast on guest room tvs for a while now. We've tried many times over the last year or two including trips this month to BWI, BC, and CR. We received an on screen message explaining that YouTube is blocked each time.My DS downloaded Chromecast to his iPhone and was then able to cast YouTube, but he did not try using any other apps.
Should be much easier to get at that time. As long as you have someone that can get it at 11 months, I don't know why it would be an issue.I need help from my friends!!
We have 1 week scheduled for Boardwalk Villa in Feb 2026. We got a boardwalk view deluxe studio. We have rented points from the seller before, and he is very accommodating. however, we might have to switch our reservation from Feb 2026 to 2nd week of August 2026.
The DVC point chart for the week we would go in August is exactly the same as the week we originally book for Feb 2026. How hard would be to get a similar room (boardwalk view deluxe studio) for second week of August 2026? Is it crazy busy ? My seller would be fine moving the reservation if needed
I am here now, with a new Samsung and the new tvs and it is easy to cast. I am using Dish Anywhere, but clearly you could use any app that is Chromecast enabled. When I tried and failed, it was DISH Anywhere. I have been successful doing it elsewhere, but again--this was before the recent TV upgrades which I assume were done when BWV was refurbed.
Staying at BWV for the first time in September; we have a studio and can’t wait!
Any experts here that can give me some tips, advice etc about BWV/BWI?
Here’s the map: https://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/BoardWalkMap.pdf. It’s a big resort with long hallways and only one set of elevators, but if you can use the stairs to go down, you can walk through the halls, staying in the AC, to exits closer to your destination.Staying at BWV for the first time in September; we have a studio and can’t wait!

For instance, the exit from the wing at far lower left on the map brings you out on the walkway to DHS, and you’re halfway there. At the other end, where the building is marked with an M, there’s a bridge that crosses to the Swan & Dolphin. That’s very convenient for walking to the restaurants over there as well as to the boat dock where you can catch the boat to DHS or disembark on your way back from DHS. Next to that bridge is a separate bridge to the Yacht & Beach, also useful for visiting those resorts. Alternatively, the boat goes directly from the dock at the Village Green to Epcot and is the first stop on the boat from Epcot.
What view category do you have booked?
We like to request upper floor near the elevators. There's a set of dedicated studios (meaning they aren't connected to a one bedroom) by the elevator bank. They have both pool and village views, but we don't have strong feelings about that part of it. We just like being near the elevators at the end of a long park day! Thanks everyone-
We are staying in a garden/ pool view studio. I did request village green based on some things I read.
It’s just my wife, 10 y/o daughter and myself so really didn’t see the need for a 1 BR especially since we have free dining.
Perhaps, this is a stupid question, but...Here’s the map: https://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/BoardWalkMap.pdf.
