Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Just came back from a week at Boardwalk Villa.

We stayed from February 7 to14th, just before President's day.

The weather was perfect, way warmer than expected for early February. It was 70-80 all week, no rain.

We have stayed at Boardwalk Villa before, but this was the first time we had a Boardwalk View and we were absolutely amazed by the amazing views and location.

Waking up, going to the balcony and watch the Lake as well as Spaceship earth as you sip on coffee is priceless.

Getting home after a long day at the parks and just relax watching the fireworks from the comfort of your room, priceless.

Having a mickey Bar after a hot day at the park, priceless.

My family loved. Loved so much they begged me all the way home to go back next year. I caved in and booked another trip for Feb 2026, boardwalk view as well.

Highly recommend getting a boardwalk view room at least once in your lifetime.

Cheers everyone.

I love the view! I am excited because I have a 1. Bedroom villa with boardwalk view booked in May. Does anyone know if they all have balconies and what floors are they on?

Oh wow that view is amazing! We have a water view room booked but from the inn side in August. Is it possible to see fireworks from there or only the Villa end? Thank you!

Water view might include view of the crescent lake ( you might be able to see fireworks) , canal or pool. I assume it is anor a guarantee unless you get crescent lake

Ok thank you! I will fo some research in the best room requests :)
Any advice is greatly appreciated! Its our first Boardwalk Inn stay.

Are there Boardwalk views on the 1st floor? I assumed the shops/restaurants are on the 1st floor. Thanks!
Yes the last DVC section of the north building near Jellyrolls has a block of 1st floor rooms that are about 6 ft vertically off the boardwalk. There are (3) 1 Bedrooms and (2) Deluxe Studios.

I was looking at the Disney webdite this afternoon and it said temporarily closed. So weird.

I see the “To Go” restaurant listing in the app is marked as “Closed”. Not sure if that’s normal for Trattoria or not. FWIW.

I understand that there is only one elevator in the villas section. Are there more in the inn section?
No there is an entire bank of elevators on the BWV side of the resort. They are right off the lobby. Where did you hear there was only 1 elevator?

The same configuration is duplicated on the BWI side, and it has an additional elevator that goes from the lobby to the Boardwalk level.

We have a resort view room booked at the hotel side of Boardwalk. When making a request, I know there are some rooms with views of the big lawn out front of lobby that are considered resort views. Do you know what that area is called?

Yes, I realize we are probably one of very many making the same request. 😂

The ones nearest the lake I believe are water view, but there should still be resort view closer to the lobby. Be aware, though, there’s a couple rooms on the 5th floor that just have a window instead of a balcony. We had one a few years ago, if I recall correctly it had a decent view of the boardwalk and water but you lose the outdoor space. It was definitely booked as standard view back then though.

Oh wow, that wouldn't be good! We'd want a balcony. Yes, the resort views are further back.

Okay thanks, good to know!

Are you asking about a view of the Porte Cochere & Driveway at the front of the resort or may be a request overlooking the "Village Green" between the BWI and the BWV buildings on the Boardwalk level?
