Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Any news on the housekeeping situation at BWI?
We were only there 2 nights, but on our second day, we happened to be in the room when they knocked, they were there to pick up trash and do a visual inspection. I asked if I could trade some towels while they were there, they gave me a whole new bag of towels.
there was no trash in the halls, and housekeeping was all over the hallways, we saw people hand off trash bags and get extra shampoo etc at the carts.

Is there any particular difference in noise with the below two rooms? Is one group of rooms in a noisier section of the resort than the other?

Boardwalk Villas:
Deluxe Studio - Garden or Pool View

Boardwalk Inn:
Garden View

Obviously, noise level is largely dependent on your neighbors... I'm more-so talking noise from the Boardwalk, busy walkways, pools, etc. Thanks!

For the BWV P/G studio, if you get a view of the Luna Park pool, yes it can be noisy, especially during afternoon activities time. A view of the quiet pool would be quiet. A Village Green view would be between the two. I don’t know anything about the Inn side.

Checked into BWI today after a few days at Uni. Room ready by 11. Very clean! Lots of housekeepers everywhere and super nice. Bus to DS came right away and the return bus was quick. Lunch at Boathouse as good as always. We’ve had a great start to the Disney leg of our trip! Heading to EP in a few and going to try and hit up bell view lounge later. Any questions let me know!

Hi. My family and I will be staying at the BWI in a Garden View room. We have never stayed at BWI.
I have a couple of questions.
Since the resort is open, will it be open at full capacity? (Every room available?)
Are there any garden view rooms that are close to elevators? When we've stayed at YC/BC, sometimes our room was a hike to the elevators.
Any general suggestions or recommendations to check out at the resort?
Thank you so much!!!!

We just booked our first stay at the boardwalk for next month! It’s only two nights and a confirmed reservation for a studio with garden/pool view. It will be me, dh, and our Ds (15 months).

Is there anything we should know beforehand? I’m planning to try and have the owner add that we’d like to be away from the main pool because Ds will need naps. I’m excited to try a new resort and have the boardwalk for ds to walk/run around on!

Ask for "view of quiet pool" and maybe "high floor" as a second request. It will be a little longer walk from the elevators but way quieter than the Luna Park pool view in the afternoon. The CMs use very loud mikes when leading those afternoon activities - ruined all my naps when we had that view! :rolleyes1 But a benefit is that if you're going to walk to DHS, just take the stairs down and out on the pool side, and you're halfway there!

I sent an email to the rental company so we’ll see what they say. This is all new to us but I know the member has to request it for us. Since it’s only two nights I’m not sure if we’ll even go to a park but I booked Epcot just in case. We wouldn’t mind being far from the elevator since that can be noisy too

The owner can send in a request via chat or email, to evade the long hold times on the phone, so hopefully it will be submitted. Enjoy your stay!

When I look at the touring plans room finder it shows rooms that are almost double the size of other ones. Are there studios that are bigger than others?

Not to my knowledge, but hopefully others will come along who have the familiarity with BWV as well as with TP to answer that question!

I have never stayed in a studio that was anything but exactly the same as all the others :-)
Lol their map must be wrong (or I’m looking at it wrong). It shows lots of big studios on their map for some reason when I click garden/pool view
