Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Apparently the refurb will not be done shortly as I just received an email regarding our April trip that there will be work going on along with exterior and balcony painting. I wonder if they restrict your use of the balcony during the day if they are working on it?

Does anyone know where specifically the 2BR Suites at the BWI (not the Villas) are located? I cannot pull it up as a booking category on the website but I know some exist. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks.
Yes, they are all located on 4th floor within the Club Level "Inn Keeper's Club". There are 4 standard 2BR Suites: 4250, 4226, 4216, 4205.

Room 4250 is closest to the CL Lounge and 4205 is near the very end of the hallway facing toward Epcot. The other 3 overlook the courtyard / quite pool area.

We are also going in April and I got the email too. Hoping it's not going to be too disruptive...

We have a few trips booked for this year.. and have not received any notification yet ?? Hmmm??? I think that I have a pic or two of the refurb from our recent trip....I'll try and find it and post it here....we have had a few trips in the past year at the BW..and have really not found any of the work that has been going on very obtrusive at all...a few pardon our appearance walls... some cranes with in sight..but really nothing that we felt detracted from our stay....

We are back from our first stay at Boardwalk Villas and I cannot say enough good things about our stay! We were in a 2 bedroom villa in room 5020 (and 5018 since that was the studio attached). Here are some views from our room.

Those decorations fit in quite nicely with the BWI theme and color scheme! For Christmastime/early January trips, we've stayed at Poly, GF and AKL. Our boys thought the GF decorations were . . . overdone. The morning they walked out of our room and saw them gone from the lobby, they actually cheered. And Christmas decorations are hard to mesh with Poly and AKL themes. But this looks nice - I'd be OK with this if it's still around when we arrive!

I got the letter for my boardwalk view studio in October. They were nowhere near our room, they were at the end by the Swan facing the canal. I wouldn't worry about it, you may want to ask when you check-in. I had a preferred view studio one time and requested Village Green and ended up over the main pool, about 4 rooms from the elevator. Loved it!

We're on our way to BWV to Check in. We stayed off property last night so we could go to Epcot his morning before check-in. But they texted me to say our room was ready at 8:30am this morning. Sweet. So we're going straight to our room.

So excited!!! On Thursday morning at 7 am I called WDW, not expecting to be able to modify my 2 rooms at YC to a 2 BR villa cash res at 10 months out, and guess what? I was!! So, KOOK, please put me on your list!! Oct. 15-22, 2017, first F&W, first MNSSHP, and first time at BW!! It's very exciting to have so many firsts after going to WDW for so many years. My DD's first choice was BCV, but they only had deluxe studios available. I was actually OK with that. I had a feeling we were going to end up at the BW and I had already started spending more time on this thread, and have spent any available "research" time looking at photos and reading about it. It felt meant to be.
Only standard view was available, any suggestions? I like top floor and quiet and don't want to look at a parking lot, but at this point, I am just happy to have a 2BR during F&W!! :yay:
