My pleasure!Thanks so much!
This is true. On our last trip that ended March 3 twice the MK bus that picked us up at the BWI then got sent to both the Swan and Dolphin before we went on to the MK.All other buses share with Swan and Dolphin. As I always say though--with Disney all things are subject to change without notice.![]()
We were at BWI last week and the bus to and from MK was BWI only. Maybe it depends on crowd levels?Since the discussion has been on buses, can someone please tell me what resorts BWI buses share? We stayed at BC a while back, and I think we shared with 4 resorts. It took a long time to get some places.![]()
What does a family do when they're not unanimous? A split stay of course!!! So excited for our first BWI stay this summer!
Kook...can you add us to the list, please? We'll be in a std view room from 8/15-8/18!
We made it to the BWV and even have a studio with the Murphy bed.
Kook, my DH, DS, and I will be staying at BWV from 7/15-7/18 (we have a split stay with VWL starting 7/12). We will also be celebrating our 20th anniversary. So excited to be returning soon! Would you add us to the list, please?
Just had to say our tickers are almost the same and we are celebrating 20 yrs too. Have a great time and Happy Anniversary!
I'm on the Magical Depress, but it's all good we will be back!!! 7/28-29 in a CL 2 br suite (since all the CL rooms were sold out) and 7/29-8/5 standard CL (2 rooms) we are SO excited to get back to BWIwhat a magical place!!!
I am going with my family July 19-27, back at the Boardwalk, can't wait.
** not sure how to delete my comment but I found that someone asked this same question just the other day ... sorry for not doing my homework first. ***
A quick review of my BWI stay over the weekend:
My DH has been dying to stay at BWI since our F&W trip in November, and I am so glad we did. We really had the best time.
Arrival day: DME dropped off in this order-Pop, CBR, BWI, then BC. I enjoyed looking out the window and seeing all the resorts. Upon arriving in the lobby, I felt a little lost. We arrived about 10:15am and dropped our bags at Bell services and I went to the check in desk. I did do Online check-in, but I never trust the MB are activatedA lovely CM checked everything for us, called upstairs to the concierge to let them know we were on our way up. When she gave us directions to the elevator, she stopped, and walked us up instead. She was so lovely, sweet, sharing tips and tidbits about BW. When we arrived at the Innkeepers Club on the 4th floor we were met with a smile. He got us right into the lounge for a bite to eat since morning offerings were ending. The CMs were the BEST!
DH and I then headed to Epcot for F&G, it was HOT! We had a blast. My favorite was the butterflies. By the time our room was ready we took a nap.
Room 4237, King bed, BW view, close to the CL. LOVE LOVE LOVE
Everyone at BWI was absolutely lovely, and we will be back!!!
Pros: relaxed vibe
location
CMs
comfortable, quiet rooms
beds are so comfy
the balcony
the pool!
the fact my DH loved it (he's a Disney grump
the CMs in the CL!
buses were empty to MK and not a long wait at all
Cons: Not a single one!
Some pictures. And construction was not bad at all. We were right above it and didn't notice a thing. Sorry for any duplicates
The lounge was never busy. The mornings had the most people, but the tables were cleared quickly, and everyone found seats. It is a smaller lounge IMO. I chatted with the CMs re: standard CL view and they said there are 2 rooms with a "less than great view" I'd request view of Iluminations maybe, which you can see from the lounge as well. The breakfast offerings were oatmeal, cold cereal, bagels, lox and salmon, mini muffins, Danish (they were yummy) and the drinks were bottles of OJ, Nesquik, milk cartons. Water on request, small Dasani bottles. Greek yogurt. afternoon there are tea sandwiches and cookies, crumb cake. Evening was clam chowder, vegetables, mini quiches, (I forgot to make a list, sorry. Desserts were always delish!!
Arriving in one week! So excited. Staying in a Garden Cottage - Club Level. Thanks for the recent reviews.
Hi all!!!
My mom and I are looking to stay at the Boardwalk Villas in December(celebrating my birthday late this year since I like Christmas MUCH better than Halloween). We haven't stayed there since I was very little (our room was over Spoodles, which may show how long ago it was...also, the resort may have been new or newer back then) and have stayed mostly at POR for the last few years (with one year at AOA).
I'm wondering what to expect and how people's experiences have been recently. I know I'll have to stay away from the pool area (I'm MASSIVELY afraid of clowns and I remember the slide was a clown) but that's all I know. I've loved visiting the resort while staying at others and stopping by to eat, and lose a tooth at Spoodles a few years after we stayed there ;-) But the best part is I don't remember much about the resort besides having a chocolate chip cookie from the bakery for breakfast, much to my grandma's dismay, and eating it on the balcony while sitting next to my late grandfather and riding on a surrey bike with my mom and grandfather so I'm ready to make new memories. Please share your experiences with me?
Thanks!!!![]()
Excited for our first stay at the bwv 9/1-9/16! My only concern is we are usually quick service breakfast eaters, where is the closest quick service area (besides the bakery looking for something a little more substantial) or should we be prepared to do table service for our stay?
In Disney-speak, when is "this spring"? We'll be staying at the Boardwalk May 9-16 and would love a place for ice cream!
Just wanted to say those are almost our exact dates and we'll also be in a Deluxe CL room!!
Those are almost our exact dates but we will be in a 1br villa!
Any recommendations on requests to make for a water view room in early May? Would like to avoid construction if possible and be able to enjoy the balcony. Thanks for all the helpful info in this thread. So far I've only gone back a few pages but will take the time to explore more.
By the way Kook, I did not get wanded but DW did at Epcot. Apparently, you women have to be selected often enough to counteract the profiling of men who might commit violence. Apparently, I'm not menacing enough to scare a ladybug.
I was waiting with another woman who also met the "menacing woman" profile and it was also her third time being "randomly selected" hmmmm was that your DW perhaps?![]()
No, my DW only was selected once which means she's more menacing than me.
None of us ever carried any type of bag. It is just annoying, especially with all the data about us with the MB. What's the theory? Let's profile a woman without a criminal record on her 19th trip to Walt Disney World - there's a threat.![]()
Hi All,
DH & I will be staying at the BWI 6/30-7/8 for our 21st Anniversary, we can't wait!! We reserved a water view room-is that the same as a Boardwalk view or will it be a pool view?? We've stayed at the BWI several times already but always in a standard room w/ a view of the courtyard pool. Thanks!
I leave today! I'm a very last minute packer... as you can tell!
Another example of failed profiling, or lack thereof. Since we're on the topic and I'm curious, what's your estimate as to the number or percentage of guests you saw being subjected to wanding? Did it seem about the same at each park?
R]
It was a very small %. I'm skewed from Epcot (IG entrance vs main), but MK had far more queued for the walk thru & wanding than others. There were not even that many walk thru metal detectors, and security would only have people there 3 deep.
There were many more security officers added, but I was surprised at how few were selected for extra screening.
Disclaimer: My sincere apologies for such a tardy/late/unexcused/truant post. You can see I have school on my mind...DD is graduating soon
MaybeHave to ask, has this changed?![]()
You know if DH approves CL it's gotta be good.Love your little TR and pro/con. Thanks for your photos and I'm so glad you and DH had a great visit and he's less of a WDW grump now - good work!
Thanks for the rundown and reporting that they do still have small bottles of water by-request.
It's a specific profile, the woman I chatted with and I are both 5'2-3" ish, brunette, and apparently look like we are up to no goodIt doesn't sound like the profiling is working if they keep wanding the same woman over and over and over...

WASN'T SHE JUST A PRETEEN
Maybe
The first night is now YC SV CL, because why notI figure it's an easy peasy split. Still kicking myself for changing from the 8 nights in the first place. I just can't torture myself with moving from a suite to 2 rooms...and the sticker shock
You know if DH approves CL it's gotta be good. And you're welcome, I kept forgetting to take pics like always

Like AirGoofy, I was mostly at the WS entrance, and it was every 3-4 people. Lines were not bad, however I've never seen a line there before. MK lines were INSANE!!! To the point we got on the monorail and went back to Epcot, and then returned to MK in the evening![]()
Thanks for the quick reply. So I assume the lines to get into each park were much longer than the good ol' (pre-tyrranical) days?
MK lines were the worse because of that filtering space. DHS and AK were screening people earlier, and the lines were similar to what they've been in the past.
I also want to scream with all of these changes (negative IMO too), but you'll be pleased that I didn't "feel" these changes at Innkeeper's Club whatsoever. Very magical thereThe pre-teen is 17 now, driving and heading off to prom and college. Not sure when this all happened, but, as you've always said, it's all good!
The split sounds good and I completely appreciate not wanting to go from a $uite to two standard rooms, but I know you need your CL so Regatta will be great! Oh, and your other ticker is intriguing, what is DS up to? He's performing at CP?!
LOL about the petite profiling. I feel like they've "ruined" my beloved WDW with all these (IMHO) negative changes and CMs being cut, and...I better stop, sorry![]()
Thank you! I'm so happy! I'll be crying like a baby with MIL crying right next to me
Thanks for the appraisal. Do you have your next trip planned yet?
Hi, can anyone tell me if there are stairs at the ESPN side of the resort that we can use to get down to the boardwalk? I'm trying to figure out a good room that will be close to Epcot (without having to walk back to the lobby to get out). Basically looking for the shortest walk to Epcot. Thanks a lot, Vince
No stairs near ESPN to exit to BW. You can use the stairs near the lounge.Hi, can anyone tell me if there are stairs at the ESPN side of the resort that we can use to get down to the boardwalk? Love the split-eroo and yes, I'll add you...better late than never
You've been there, done that, but I still want to thank you for your updates and photos, @AirGoofy
YIPPEE!! Sounds like the best of both worlds
YIPPEE for your anniversary, too.
Have to ask, has this changed?
Welcome back and I'll log your dates, too
No apology needed, @JayhawkFans!

It's almost TIME!
Welcome to the thread, @Katie In Wonderland. I think you and DM will be making some great new memories at BWV and the BW. You're going to love walking so easily to Epcot and DHS. Make sure your birthday is noted on your reservation and are you going to any BW clubs?
Thanks for posting the link @Music City Mama.
Welcome! I'll add your dates to the BoardWalk Bulletin.
Well, not sure about WDW, but technically spring started March 20 and ends June 19, so your dates are promising.
I smell a DisMeet.
Welcome to the thread, @2excited2sleep
Well, there's always next time...

Welcome and congratulations! I'll log your dates.
It's called a BoardWalk View so if you booked it, you'll have a view of the BW and Crescent Lake. All other views at BWI are considered Standard Views, and they include pool and canal views.
Safe and magical travels to you, @MonkeyDishwasher
