We're back from our Disney/Universal vacation. Our Disney stay was at BWI. We were in room 4287. We requested upper floor, close to lobby. This room we got definitely fit the bill, but I personally think the location request was a mistake on my part. I think BWI's doors are made of paper...there was A LOT of noise from the hallway. Also, we were in a long stretch of rooms that were out of service because they were being painted. I thought this would be awesome since we didn't have any neighbors...until we were woken up to the noise of sanding early in the morning. The room that connected to ours was being painted, and at one point the painter locked himself out of the room, so he came to our room to try to get in through the connecting door. The room was bordered on the other side by some sort of service area, and there were CMs in there talking loudly at all hours. The room also seemed really tiny and like it lacked storage. The view overlooked the roof to the resort entry, so it was non-existent.
We also had a few snafus. Our flight got in late (a little before 11:30) and we sat on DME for a long time before a huge school group loaded and we took off. We finally got to BWI after 1 a.m. I'd never received a text with our room number, so we had to check in in person. The front desk CM said I didn't put my credit card info in when I checked in online (even though I know I did...I checked it twice) and they also said they didn't have our email on file, though we received several emails from Disney about our stay prior to the stay, so I have no idea what that was about. Then the stroller we rented from an offsite company wasn't there (Kingdom claimed they had GPS proof it had been delivered; BWI said they didn't have it), so our arrival at the park the next morning was delayed while we dealt with that. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing stay, though my 5 year old loved the pool and being able to walk to DHS (this was a SWW trip) was priceless.
