Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Are people really excited about a $16 hunk of fried cheese on a stick? We’re usually pretty carefree with spending when we go to WDW but there are some items that are just to ridiculously priced for us even to consider.

I would buy it, I don't eat meat, so getting this as a savory treat is pretty rare these days.
However, it says "limited time" so doubt it will be there when I visit in May

I don’t know. “Limited time” could cause a sense of urgency to get it. And if it sells well, I’m sure it’ll stay on the menu.

RUMOR: Jellyrolls Piano Bar Set to Close at Disney’s BoardWalk

The popular piano bar Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk is reportedly closing in 2025.

The exterior of a building glows at night with the lit JELLYROLLS sign and a red canopy, hinting at its lively character. Other neon signs flicker in the background, suggesting hints of stories like JellyRolls' recent PPP loan whispers circulating in the air.

Sources indicate that Jellyrolls will close on or around January 1, 2025, to make way for a new, Disney-operated Jazz club as part of the larger ongoing overhaul of the BoardWalk area.

Recent years have seen many changes, including updating the BoardWalk Inn lobby, the opening of the BoardWalk Deli, BoardWalk Ice Cream, and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. Big River Grille and Brewing Works closed earlier in 2024.

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers was supposed to open in 2023, but was delayed until this year. The closure of Jellyrolls was supposedly always scheduled for after the Cake Bake Shop finally opened, which it has.

Jellyrolls is currently in its 29th year of operation (since the BoardWalk first opened) and features dueling pianists. Admission is only for guests aged 21+, and there is a cover charge. It is one of the last original venues in the area as Spoodles, ESPN Club, and Seashore Sweets have all been shuttered and replaced over the years.

Of course, all of the information above is purely speculative at this time and nothing has been confirmed at this time by Disney, nor by the third-party company that currently operates the establishment.

Another travesty!! We love going to Jellyrolls on every trip. When the say "changes" they must mean make the BW boring. I know some people like jazz but it's my least favorite music by a long shot and just sounds like this will be a completely boring venue.

I agree 100%. I am sure those piano players aren't cheap though. So this tracks if you ask me.

Unless Ron Burgundy has a jazz flute residency there this stinks. I would think they would keep the dueling pianos on the weekend. While I always thought the $20 cover was a little steep (since the drinks are Disney-fied) I love that show.

So they are going the Pleasure Island route with the Boardwalk, that was my theory anyways when they closed ESPN. I thought they would have moved up the closing time from 2a to 11p but surprised they are shutting it down completley. I assume Atlantic Dance Hall is next, that's prime real estate that they can probably turn into another Disney store. Sad day, the Boardwalk I loved has been essentially torn down in under 5 years.

Yup and its awful. I don't know whose doing their research but I'd sure as hell fire the person!!!

The boardwalk will start looking like a New Jersey strip mall with all the empty places.
