We are not staying CL until our Poly half of our stay so can't get club pics

Our family loves the boardwalk, but the one thing that I can’t stand is seeing the completely out of theme Swan and Dolphin. I don’t know why it bothers me so much but that is probably the only big negative we have on BW

BoardWalk Villas Refurbishment Update - June 2024


Finishing touches are still being completed on the wholesale interior and exterior refurbishment which began in 2023 at Disney's BoardWalk Villas.

Work was limited to daytime hours and the overall disruption was minimal. However, it was difficult to enjoy coffee on the balcony one morning. Even the room we occupied was still in need of some coats of exterior paint around the balcony door frame before the project could be considered complete.

Work in this area prompted a closure to the Disney Vacation Club preview room. Nearby the former home to Big River Grille sits empty with no signs of a new tenant forthcoming.

The last series of room interiors are being renovated, about a dozen villas on floors 1-4 in the wing closest to Disney's Hollywood Studios. On each floor, a door with signage similar to the above blocks guests from accessing the active construction area.

For the love of God,........will they EVER finish that roof over the CBS?? I just cannot comprehend what is taking so long. Without a proper roof, you cannot finish the interior buildout. Are they waiting for a hurricane to cause enough damage to collect insurance money so they can finally abandon this project or is this roof being prefabbed off-site by tiny elves with tiny tools that only work during a full moon? Sheesh......

I think it looks the same as previous picks, shrubs still surrounding it and so sign of opening. That was last night. Will look today and get new pics.

There doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency to provide food options on the boardwalk side of the lake. It's almost like BWI/BWV wants their guests to go eat elsewhere. Frankly if there's any resort that should have the return of room service, it's here, but again they don't seem too concerned with feeding their guests.

Room service sounds great except didn't they remove the table and chairs at BWI during the latest refurb?

I agree but consider the food operations on the Boardwalk are all run by Vendors with the exception of the Boardwalk Deli. A vendor needs to have a compelling business reason to open on the Boardwalk.

We are still waiting on a simple Hot Dog stand to open for a very long time not to mention the Cake Bake Shop Bakery and Restaurant is still not even close the completion of construction.

I don't expect Private Dinning (room service) to return beyond the GF where it returned for the NBA Bubble and stayed.

I was surprised too. Didn’t notice much difference though. My DH loves the Boardwalk. It’s his absolute favorite but even he’s talking about the lack of options and staying elsewhere. I guess we’ll see when planning future trips.
