LOL, quoting myself because I'm back at BW. I switched our dates around and no YC available so we are staying in a studio villa at BWV. Its standard view but I'm hoping a different view will open up and I can change it.
I read that all the villas have balconies, that includes the studios too? I'm so excited!!
Welcome back to BWV,
@Hikergirl.
So excited to be returning to the Boardwalk Villas for the first time in 10 years!
That is exciting. It might feel like a new resort to you
Anyone here know the Boardwalk's music playlist? Actual list of songs and artists.
Bumping your question...
Hello from BWV! We've been here for 4 nights...4 to go. We are in 1-bedroom 4027. I requested (via phone a few months ago) a renovated room and a quiet room. When I did online check-in, I requested a higher floor. We are very happy with our room. It looks over the canal and Swan. But because it is an end unit, there is also a window that faces HS and we can see the ToT. Our first night here, we watched the HS fireworks from the window!
It is very quiet down here and we haven't seen any neighbors or run into anyone on our hallway...we don't mind the long walk to the elevator...we like the seclusion. We have a stairwell D-3 right outside our door. It leads to the path by the canal to HS. And is right next to the back entrance to Luna Park Pool. So we can get to the pool in about 2 minutes. And the door can be opened from the outside too...so it's easy to get back to our room.
The renovated suite is very nice, although we have nothing to compare it to. Lots of storage space, drawers, etc. And plenty of sitting areas...we are leaving the pullout open the whole time, and there are still plenty of seats and plenty of room to walk around. But there are only 3 of us...
We drove to AK and AKL on Monday...very easy to get around, great signage. We took the bus to MK at 3:15 p.m. yesterday...so glad we did! Bus came in 10 minutes and we were there 15 minutes later. From leaving our room to being on our first attraction was 50 minutes.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you,
@SFMommy for posting your TR!
The only question I have is, isn't the BWV awesome?!?!
Boy am I late to the party!!! We will staying for our forth visit at BWV October 14th-22nd. First time in a Studio. Can anyone recommend a studio with a great main pool view? Mommas love to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch people in the pool. Yes we are strange…we like seeing Pennywise. Especially at night.
Better late than never and I'll add your dates to our BoardWalk Bulletin on PAGE 1
I'm 12 days away from another great stay at the Boardwalk

That will make 3 so far, and we just love the location. We've got a waitlist in for Beach Club, but at this point I don't think it's going through. Staying in a 1BR villa with my mom, so I'm looking forward to the extra space - we usually do studios when it's just husband and myself.
Hoping we get a somewhat convenient location, but I'll be in Disney soon so I can't complain
Curious if your waitlist ever came through?
Hi all,
2 quick questions I hope can be answered concerning FF Cafe...
1. Is there any chance it might be done by August?
2. If not, does anyone know what happened to our 2 favorite bartenders there, Craig and Lorna? They told us they'd both be placed elsewhere while the restaurant was closed.
Thanks so much!
I think your question from long ago may have been missed - sorry,
@Scott MC. FF is due to re-open 30 SEP. I can't answer your question about the bartenders, but maybe someone else can...
I have a question about checking in late. Our plane lands at 9:30 so I figure we won't get to the resort until 11PM. Will the place to get my refillable mug be closed? I'm going to need my coffee first thing in the morning LOL.
The mug purchase/refill location will be closed, however, you will have a coffeemaker in your room and I believe the BWB opens by 0630.
We are staying in a 2 bedroom standard view in less than a week!! Any good area/room to ask for? We would ideally love a larger balcony rather than two small balconies. And would probably prefer not to have view of any construction! Thanks in advance!
Did you end up with your larger balcony? Hope you like your villa.
Awww...we check out on the 15th. Maybe we can score some before we leave.
Let us know!
Hello all - just booked a weeklong stay at BoardWalk in July

It's a birthday trip for me, my niece (who celebrates the day after me), and unbeknownst to them, an anniversary trip for my parents, who will have just celebrated a couple of months before. This will be my third BoardWalk stay, but the others were just single nights. Very much looking forward to spending multiple nights there!
My dad uses an
ECV and I wanted to see if you more experienced BoardWalkers had room request recommendations for that. We are booked in Standard View. The room I had last year for 1nt would have been excellent -- just around corner from elevator with angle view of the lake, and a wide spot in the corridor for maneuvering his buggy. I confess I wasn't paying attention to elevator size when I was there, so if anyone has comments to that in respect to a
scooter I appreciate it. We are experienced
DCL sailors so we know all about small elevators! But those are straight in and not sideways. (Portrait vs landscape?? lol) I don't remember anything about the size of the elevators to the rooms, and I'm not sure I've ever used the elevator from main floor to ground level. Surely it works out for other people who use scooters/wheelchairs, too, right? We didn't book an accessible room because he doesn't really need the features of one.
Thanks for any insight you can share.
Congratulations on booking and welcome to the thread,
@GetGlowing.
We just came back from an 8 night stay at BWI. It was our first time here and it was excellent. We requested a king room which we got. #2292 and it's on the 2nd floor near the elevator, stairs and lounge to get coffee every morning. Could not have asked for a better room. The room itself, was oversized.
Glad you had an excellent time and thank you for your mini TR,
@Traceylee.
Joining in!! Stay BWI 7/7-10. A short weekend trip but excited nonetheless. I love, love, love that walk to DHS and being that close to Epcot will be a dream. (Never stayed in Epcot area before.)
Welcome! I'll log your dates,
@klacey1.
We are staying at the BWI from 6/8 to 6/15. We are celebrating my dd's bday on 6/9. When we made the reservation we did not note anywhere it will be her birthday. Is there a place we can add it or can we do that if we do online check in? I'm not expecting anything for her bday but I keep seeing people saying they put bdays on their reservations so thought I would too. Just in case there was some pixie dust.....
Just give Reservations a call and ask to have your celebration noted in your reservation

. I'll add your dates to our log.
DH and I were at BWI last weekend for a Flower & Garden Festival getaway. We booked a standard room, standard view, and used the Touring Plans room request service, with great results. I requested near elevators, upper floor and either Village Green or EPCOT Eiffel Tower view (I used the wording and room number range that TP auto-generates when you request a specific room, but added Village Green and EPCOT wording to be more specific), and we got our room ready text while we were waiting to board our flight to MCO. We were assigned room 4285, which was I think one or two rooms over from the one I requested. The room is the first one around the corner from the elevator but was still very quiet - I think I faintly heard someone in the hallway one time the entire trip - and we never waited more than 20 seconds for an elevator, so we could get to the lounge, lobby or out onto the Boardwalk very quickly. The view in the morning was lovely, but the view at night was even better because you could see not only the lights around the EP area resorts, but also the Star Wars fireworks at DHS!
Thanks for reporting on your room experience. Sounds like a great room!
I promise I don't work for Ample Hills Creamery (it's all I ever post lately!), but they had a soft opening today (official opening day is Sunday, 5/15). I can't wait to check this out in 3 weeks!

HAHA! Thanks so much for posting the links,
@Music City Mama.
Could someone answer a BWV question? Stayed there recently...I think it was 3065 and loved it. (own at BCV)
I walked to HS by meandering around the clown pool and came to the walkway with the HS sign.
Was this the fastest way?
My studio was very close to the lobby end elevator and I wondered if I had just wandered all the way down the hallway to the very end & went down to ground level, would that have been a more direct route to that walkway?
I want to come back to BWV for sure and though I tried to study the map, I am confused.
Thanks so much.
Bumping your BWV question...
I enjoyed my stay this week- I had a refurbished studio on the 5th floor overlooking the clown pool- I think the room was 5086? That Murphy bed/table thing is a bit weird, but I didn't need the bed so used it as a table. I was surprised they didn't put two sinks, that's such a big counter in the bathroom area. Nicer than I was expecting though, I wasn't sure what to expect never having stayed there before.
Great pool bar area and nice bartenders- ended up having more than one Captain's Mai tai, lol. And was great being able to walk back from the studios after the fireworks instead of dealing with the parking lot exit from the studios.
Sounds like a great vacation - thanks for posting about your stay,
@freediverdude.
Well, let e start with how pretty the resort and our studio is. The returbed rooms are lovely. The location is sort of what I requested...high floor, near elevator. We are on the fifth floor and the first room around the corner from the elevators. Unfortunately I did not get the request I made to member services which was to NOT have a view of the scary clown pool (I asked for village green). And my window has a perfect view of Pennywise and all the accompanying screams of delight (or horror) all day long. In an effort to get over the creepy factor, we went for a swim yesterday and made many trips down the slide...and it was fun .
Now...the issues...
When we arrived Friday, the guard shack had no record of our reservation and grilled us about whether we had one, even asking when we made the reservation (7 months exactly). So they had no parking pass for us. We drove up to unload our luggage and asked if DH could pull to the side while I went to get a parking pass. NO, is what we were told. He had to go park, walk back to lobby, get parking pass and walk back to parking lot to place in the car, then walk back to lobby.
Meanwhile, we had done online check-in but had not gotten our text yet. Nobody Manning the online check-in desk so I had to wait for the regular check-in...defeats the idea of online check-in. The guy was pleasant but our room was not ready at about 3:45pm...no prob right? He informs me that only two rooms in the resort are available that fit our booking category and mousekeping decided to shampoo carpets on both today so both still have wet carpets. He told me to wait about 20 minutes and he'd text our room to us...which he did. Up we went and open the door to find wet carpets and a strange man on our balcony. The construction crew is on our balcony with all their gear painting. I March back to desk and he tells me that's only room available and that the workers will be done at 5pm. No where else to move to. Oh and we were never given a welcome packet or resort map or shown where things are. I didn't push it because by this point I was spitting nails Saabs just wanted to drop our bags and go to the park.
We close our drapes and head to MK cause I am not about to waste previous vacation time. When we got back at 11pm the carpet was mostly dry but for a few damp spots. Next day workers are outside again on the cherry picker instead of on the balcony so no using the balcony again.
No in-room wifi. It has not worked at all since we arrived. I found our room's router on the floor between the dresser and wall and picked it up on top of the dresser. Still no wifi. The signal is too weak for my devices to connect.
This resort just doesn't suit us,which is fine. We are having a great time!
UGH! Thank you for posting about your experience. I can appreciate you feeling like this wasn't the resort for you - too many issues and you just didn't get the feeling you were appreciated as a guest.
Where do you think you might stay next time? It always helps to look forward to "next time" when things aren't going as they should.
For those who stayed on the boardwalk side...do you find the lights or noise to be an issue at night?
We've stayed at BWI with a BWV. We had a corner room that had two windows. The smaller window faced the FF sign and the noise from the electrical buzzing came through the window. You could also hear the busker's music and crowds cheering, but this probably stopped by 10 or so. You can also hear the boat horns and during PM EMH, this went on it seemed until after 0100 and then started up again around 0645. I'm a very light sleeper and early riser so I'm more sensitive to the noise. DD and DH weren't bothered at all by the BW sounds. It also might depend on how close you are to the buskers and whether you have that additional side window - ours wasn't sealed well at all.
