Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

I just finished doing online check in for our January trip

We rented points through David's for a standard view studio. The only request I made was that we get a room on an upper floor. What are the chances that we will get a room on the third, fourth, or fifth floors? I don't care if we are down one of the endless hallways, but I am hoping for a balcony.

Odds are good. When I used to get standard view, I always requested top floor, across from the bus stop and always got 3 or 4. Only a few of the standard views have a 5th floor, the building goes down to 4 floors part way down the hall.

quick question guys, I know the Inn pools are listed as closing at midnight, does that mean all of the pools close at midnight? am I right in thinking there is a Villa quiet pool as well?

Also we are planning our honeymoon for a week in September when it looks like a lot of the parks are going to be shut by 7pm (2x Night of Joy, and 2x Not so scary Halloween parties at the MK for a start!)
any suggestions of fun special things to do later on in the evenings around the boardwalk area in September?

thanks for any help!

There is a Villas quiet pool, but I don't know when that closes either. Since a kid died in one of the Disney pools a year or so ago late night (not at the BW), they've been "closing" all the pools so they're not 24 hrs.

For the BW, everyone says Jelly Rolls is a lot of fun. There is a cover, but it's a dueling piano bar, and I've never really seen anyone say they didn't like it. (We haven't tried it ourselves!). There's also Atlantic Dance, but that always seems pretty empty. Happy honeymoon!

I remember seeing an hours sign on the villa pool in October, or maybe it was by the hot tub hours. But, I don't remember what it said. My guess is they are the same times.

I believe the hours are generally the same as the hot tub hours, 7-11. Pools with lifeguards usually close around 10 and open later than leisure pools.

We are 13 days aways til Boardwalk Bliss:cloud9:. Only one problem this little sweetie would sure like to go too.
She even has on her cute little Minnie dress. :) How could Disney say no to such a face? ;):goodvibes

That's so cute!!! I'm sure they would be okay with her walking around the Boardwalk... As long as she didn't leave behind any "biscuits." :lmao:

Just checked in this morning at BWI on my way to work and I ended up in the same room I had last time - except now the construction down the hall is done so I shouldn't have noise during the day. This time I was smart and took the extra time to unload the car while I could park right in front of the doors instead of having to deal with bell services after work. So I can just go back to the hotel and relax tonight. The decorations in the lobby looked different to me, and the front desk confirmed that they had new ones this year. They have carousel animals all over them - very in keeping with the BW theme!

I'm anxious to try the new gingerbread cones in the lobby. I love gingerbread! Our family did all our Christmas cookie baking over Thanksgiving weekend, so I have a small suitcase full of containers of different types of cookies to snack on during my stay. I love going to WDW around the holidays!:santa:

Now if the work day would just go a little faster . . . . .

LOL, she would never leave any "biscuits", she's way too lady like for that. :rotfl:

Put a big hat on her, a MB and a lanyard and no one will notice.

How exciting! I hope you have a great time. Feel free to post photos of the new decorations;). How do you feel about having the exact same room? Did you make any requests?

Just the usual request - high floor near elevators. I kind of like getting the same room more than once. I've had the same room at WL three times in a row with a very generic request of high floor with enclosed balcony. It really makes it feel like coming home when you get the same room!

That's great that you got the same room AND you like it, especially now that all the construction crews are gone. Any wear and tear on the room already? Are you heading over to Epcot for dinner? I sure would love Yachtsman Steakhouse or Tokyo Dining right about now:love:

I did Yachtsman on the last trip, and although it's delicious, it's also a little pricey. I'll probably head over to Epcot and grab a quick bite and see if I can get close enough to hear NPH doing the Candlelight tonight.

I didn't notice a lot of wear and tear on the room yet, but it was a little dark when I checked in. I may notice some tomorrow in the light of day. The hallway looked great though, as far as wear and tear goes, and they take a beating.

ETA - the room is still in great condition. I can still hear the construction noise, but it's muted since it is on another floor.

Less than two weeks to our BW trip! Woo hoo!

ahhhhhhh :cloud9:
doesn't matter if it's a photo or the real thing, there's something about the BW that makes a smile appear, & troubles & tribulations melt away.
i can almost smell the apple pie smell-o-vision coming out of the bakery vent, funnel cakes, the tooting friendships, laughter......

beautiful picture :thumbsup2

I did online check-in Sunday night (at 60 days) for my pool/garden view one bedroom villa. I was stumped what to request. I selected high floor and pool view. Actually, the photos I've seen of the quiet pool looked nice, and I especially like the view of the waterway looking down toward the Swan/Dolphin. It's just my husband and me and we don't have to be near elevators or the lobby. I just want a quietish location and something pretty to look at while on the balcony. If you were me, what would you have asked for?

Hi all,

Looking to book (or rent points) for a 1BR BWV Thanksgiving week 2015. I looked on the WDW site and no villas are showing availability.

Are those dates not available to be booked yet (since they are villas and not yet 11 months out) or could they all be booked (I have never seen that before)?

Thanks!
