Can flippin' wait!

Welcome and congratulations on booking!
I believe that all or almost all of the rooms have been rehabbed by now, but there was/is still some common area work going on. Hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm wrong about this. You could always add to your request "rehabbed room," just to make sure you get one.
I believe there is only one room at BWI that doesn't have a balcony, so you don't need to request that. The Standard Views can be of the garden/courtyard/pool area, the canal or the parking lot at the front of the resort. The most popular SV request is an "Epcot/garden view." These rooms, on higher floors, have partial Illuminations views. The 5th floor is the highest non-CL floor.
ESPN at 1:30 on a Friday shouldn't be a problem at all and you shouldn't have any wait.
Happy planning!

You're welcome. It's always fun to try a new resortThank you , thank you, thank you! I appreciate everyone's input. We are so excited to stay at the Boardwalk. My kids are a little disappointed they won't get to stay at the Beach Club with the cool pool, but the slide looks fun at BWI. We have stayed at POR and WL, so this will be a change. We liked both but looking for more action!
From the latest AllEars newsletter: The December 18 opening of Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk is fast approaching! Desserts on the menu include classic tiramisu, gelato, a hot bomboloni (donut) with dark chocolate and vanilla gelato, cannoli-like creation with pizzelle cookies filled with chocolate and pistachio cream, and more!
Does anyone know if the BWV boardwalk view studios have a private balcony? What i mean by private is "walls" on the sides so that you dont sit out and see your neighbors to the right and left? I notice that many of the balconies that face the boardwak dont have the sides....and was wondering of there are any studio villas that DO have the private balconies? Any thoughts? Experiences?
that is sooooo nice of you but I don't know which rooms are which!!!! I wish I did!! I do know I havens Boardwalk view studio!!! Enjoy your vacation !!!! Yay!!!I'm here now and I can look for you if you can specify which rooms these are.
sorry to be a pain but would someone who is at the boardwalk in the next few month mind grabbing me a few photos of the balconies of the Villa section from the parking lot side? just trying to figure out room requests/ hotel layout and there aren't a lot of photo's of the standard view balconies on that side of the hotel (left side if you are in the parking lot facing the entrance (I believe!)
thanks! :-D
I need help with a room request.
We have traded (RCI into DVC) for a two bedroom end of January. What view should we get? I have heard pool view?
I would like to be close to buses and lobby and have a good view. At the end of the day, walking less is good as we overdo the parksI would love to be close to the elevators, but I have heard being too close is noisy. I don't mind being on a higher level.
I called the BWV and they said call back 10 days prior to put in a request (in addition the the MDE, which is very basic).
Any help on where I should request?? Or where the options are for two bedroom DVC?
Tomorrow, tomorrow We'll be arriving and seeing the scary redheaded clown tomorrow It's only a dayyyyy awayyyy!!! How's my singing?![]()

This is all I've got - sorry:Thanks Debbie!
does anyone have a photo a bit closer to the main entrance on that same side?
Do not forget to let us know how the opening night of the Trattoria was.
Very exited to get a first hand impression after the 18th.
Enjoy your stay to the fullest!
Don't you wish you could saw down some of those view obstructions?! Thank you for posting a little TR for us.We just got back from our trip. We checked in at noon last Saturday and our room was ready! We had a standard view studio and were assigned to 3107. We were happy with the location. We would have had a great fireworks view if there wasn't a big tree right in front of our balcony lol. We could still see some fireworks though.
We really love the Boardwalk resort itself. The CMs were all friendly, the ones in charge of the pool games and Community Hall were particularly awesome. DD painted a ceramic snowman, made a tie dye Mickey shirt, and stenciled a Frozen tee shirt while we were there.
We had dinner at ESPN Club one night. We had to wait a while for a table but we were happy with our meal and DD loved all the televisions, though she isn't really into sports. We also had dinner at Beaches and Cream, which we loved -- the best grilled cheese and tomato soup ever!
Transportation is the only negative we could find, but it is a definite negative. We only used the buses a few times. We waited 20 minutes for a bus to MK at around 10:00 one morning, and others were waiting before we got there. I think they rerouted a bus just to pick us up, and it went straight to MK. On party night we only waited about 10 minutes for an MK bus, but it filled to standing room only so others were waiting longer. Even though it was pretty full, it proceeded to stop at the Swan and the Dolphin before heading to MK. We stayed really late that night and didn't get back out to the bus stop until almost 1:00 am, and there was a bus sitting there waiting, which was great. The driver asked if anyone was going to the Swan, got no reply, and then he said oh well, we'll just stop at all five anyway. The Boardwalk was last, after Swan (no one got off there), Dolphin, Yacht (no one got off there either) and Beach Clubs.
The boats are kinda nice, but very slow and they don't run very many of them so it's a pretty long wait if you just miss one. We were heading to Epcot Monday afternoon, it was cold and raining, and we were just stepping into the boat queue as the CM put the chain up across the bottom. When we got to the chain people were still getting onto the boat, but he didn't let us on. Grrr. We walked.
DD and I agreed that the Boardwalk is great for non park days or Epcot days, but that's about it. We wouldn't stay there for a park intensive trip.
Whoever you choose to rendezvous with on your vacation is none of our business. Oh wait! You were talking about the pool.![]()
Your singing is quite lovely.
Enjoy your trip. I'm jealous.

Have a great trip.
I hope the burglars don't get wind of your song. Seriously, I hope you and DW (and your DGF who isn't even close to a redhead?) have a wonderful stay. And, don't just check-in at the front desk, check-in with us, too
