Disney's BIG New Year's Eve Announcement?

I hope it's more the the 24 hr thing.... But that would be cool since I will be in Orlando on 2/29.... Woo hoo!!!

With such a big focus on clocks and time in that video on the blogs, it makes me think we are going to get some extended park hours. Personally I would love it if every disney park around the world was open from 8am to midnight everyday this year. I can't see them ever doing 24hrs, but at DW the hotel guests could stay in the parks that have the extra magic hours until 3am!

It needs to be something that they have never done before. They have done lots of "Buy so many days, get a day free" type of deals. With all the hype behind this announcement, I am hoping for something totally new that will allow guests access to the parks for a longer period of time each day.

While anything is possible, I wouldn't hold my breath. Disney has been really big on hyping minor things lately.

We are about 30 minutes away from the announcement. One Republic is going to preform live (again) from Disneyland sometime tonight. I have a feeling it will be right before 11pm EST, then the announcement at 11pm EST like the countdown on the blogs is counting down too.

Well, the video on the website updated, and the announcement is...the park being open for 24 hours on 2/29/12. So much for a big announcement. I was hoping it would be something that would last a whole year...not one day. I highly doubt anybody is going to plan their trip (during the school year) just for this "event". Oh well.
