Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

Staying at Pop, but want to stop by AoA one night one my way back from DHS and have a bite to eat, and walk the bridge back to Pop. How late is AoA's food court open on a Friday night? :scratchin

According to Disney's website Landscape of Flavors is open 6am-12am

The only things open until midnight in Landscape of Flavors are the "grab and go" area (cold and non-perishable items) and the Pizza section. I think the other hot food areas are closed by 10:00. While I'm not positive of the exact closing times, I do remember that most things close well before midnight.

Can anyone comment on the bus service? Thinking of staying here in November...how long does it take to get to MK? Epcot? Thanks :-)

We found the bus service at AoA to be very good when we stayed there last June. These are the travel times we experienced (we went to each park at least 2 or 3 times during our stay so these are averages).

MK - 20-25 minutes
EP - 10-15 minutes
DHS - 10-15 minutes
DAK - 5-10 minutes

We also liked that we had the option of taking a bus back to Pop Century from the parks. There were 2 occasions when we were at a park waiting for a bus back to AoA and we chose to hop on the bus to Pop instead because it got there first. Once was during a horrendous thunderstorm at DHS. For some reason there was no one in the line for Pop but the line for AoA was really long. We were in the line for AoA but when the bus for Pop pulled up first, we ran over there (we ended up being the only ones on that bus). We figured if it was still raining when we got back to Pop, we'd just hang out in the gift shop until it stopped and then we'd walk back to AoA. We just wanted to get out of the rain and lightning. The other time was at the end of the night at MK. Again, the line for AoA was long (which we expected) and there was virtually no one in line at Pop. Even though 2 or 3 buses came for AoA, there was still a long line and it was still faster to get on the bus to Pop (at that point we just wanted to sit down. :) ). The walk from Pop to AoA at night is simply beautiful....and was only enhanced by the beverage I picked up at Petals pool bar at Pop as I walked by. :rotfl:

Hmm! So I should probably use 10pm as their "closing time." I think I can make it in time! Thanks! :thumbsup2

That's what I figured! Thanks for the specifics! I've got to try that Nutella gelato this time....nmmmmmm

Oh I love this idea :) Seems silly, but an evening walk through the resorts enjoying a drink after a long park day. Multi-tasking at its best, I think I'll add it into my Disney plan :)

We just returned from a week-long stay at AOA!

We were in the Nemo suites and took the Pop bus back several times because it usually seemed to arrive before the AOA bus!

It was a short walk from the Pop buses, through the 60's section, and over the bridge to the Nemo building.

Now -- it probably wouldn't be all that convenient, if you're staying in one of the other AOA resort sections!

How long is the walk from pop to a of a if you take the pop bus back? We have a lion king suite.

So I'm looking at the resort map. Is the Pop across the bridge across Hourglass Lake? The map shows a bridge but doesn't show where it goes.

We were in Bldg. 10 in the Lion King section and it was about a 10-15 minute leisurely walk for us from the bus stop at Pop to our room. We could have gotten there faster if we wanted to.

Are there fridges in the Standard LM rooms?

Hope this helps those asking about the fridges/fridge sizes.

This is in Little Mermaid room - dorm sized fridge with no freezer section.

This one is in the Lion King suite - slightly larger with small freezer compartment.
