Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

We were there last week, I think it took maybe 15 minutes by bus. And we never waited longer than 10 min for a bus either way.

We will be staying 1night 9/23 in a cars suite before switching to CSR BC. We are leaving NC around noon the 23rd and driving straight through to AoA. Should be there around midnight...........looking forward to checking out AoA and Pop before going to CSR :thumbsup2

I'm sure it varies but when we went down in March and came down around 7 it was the first stop.

We were the first stop on our trip in Feb. However on the return trip to airport we stopped at Pop after getting picked up at AoA.

Does anyone know the size of the fridge? I want to order 3 liters of H2O from Staples and being able to put one in the fridge would be best. Will it fit?

If it's anywhere near the same size of the fridge at CSR BC u should have no issues

Hi!

I'm sure this info is out there but I couldn't find it! I hope you can help!! We are checking in June 13th, we have 2 Nemo suites for our extended family. We already requested adjourning rooms and first floor near food. Our flight leaves at 6 am which means I have to have DD 5 and DS 2 up and out of the house by 3:30 that am. We have a full day of Star Wars weekend (the only day we could work it in) and pirates and pals cruise that night. That is a looooong day!!! My kids are going to need to crash. What are the chances of having a room ready for an early check in if I call ahead and ask? I would really like to get into the room and let the kids nap around 11 but I don't want to mess w the adjourning rooms/1st floor request! Not sure what I should do! Help!!

There is no way to call the resort directly. You'll have to decide what is more important to you, getting into your room early or having your requests met. If you do online check in you can specify what time you will be arriving and then select that you'd prefer your room to be ready over any requests you have made. Or you can select you would rather have your requests met over your room being ready.

You can also ask upon check in if there are any Suites ready even if they don't meet your requests and you may get lucky.

Or you may just get real lucky and your room is ready and you get your requests. We have had that happen multiple times at different resorts. It all depends on occupancy the night before you arrive.

These pictures may help you visualize. The first one is from a LM room, and the second is from a suite.

So just wondering... I hear a lot of negative feedback about the poor organization and terrible lines at Landscape of Flavors.

Is it really the train wreck people describe it as being?

What if we try to get there by 11:15 at the latest for lunch (early August)?

I'm curious too.

We had a horrible time with it in March. No one seemed to know where to order, pick up food, etc. Even the CMs were usually standing around looking lost. We ended up eating several meals there because it was the only thing convenient, and it always took at least 20 minutes for everyone to get and pay for their food. Definitely not the best food court I've been to.

Meh we ate there twice earlier this month. I thought it was easy to navigate and wasn't too bad if you avoided the huge mob of cheerleaders that took over from time to time. I'd say it took us 10 min to order/get our food/checkout and that's DH in one line and me ordering for myself and DD and DS in another line. Though personally I wasn't as impressed as DH w the food. He really liked both his meals mine were ok. The kids loved their nuggets but hey they were nuggets you know! HTH
