I'm at 60 days till my stay at AOA in a LM room. I'm traveling solo so asked for a King bed room. Will be interesting to see if I get that. As for location request. I have no idea what floor to request.

Has anyone been doing the online check in for AOA?

Any suggestions on which floor to request?

Thanks!

We'll be there then too :) We requested a non-ground floor because I read about "critters sneaking in" ground room floors. Would it happen? I hope not but that stuff freaks me out because in NY, those things don't exist!!

My daughter, who works at AoA, just called me with giddy excitement, she was one of the selected (as I am sure many are) cast members to test stay the Little Mermaid section before the grand opening! How awesome! What is even more bizarre, I had already booked a stay at POP for that same week, so one more magical day added to our visit! I knew raising that girl on pixie dust and Mickey Bars would pay off..Disney has been very, very magical for her, even since in utero. So excited!

ooh!!! Let us know when! I have some questions!! (I know I am not the only one).

Just back from AoA - some pics:

What is LGMH? Thanks.

Lime Green Mickey Head. Originally available at the Disney paint section of Home Depot, but discontinued. About 2.5 inches big. Easy enough to make. Lime Green is the Dis designated colour for us to recognize each other at WDW.::yes::

Nice pics Sandi S!

Yes, I will be wearing a few lime green Mickey Heads with my screen name of DisneyMomFanatic on it. That way if any others from the Disboards here see it on my backpack, they can feel free to come up to me and say hi. Some of us wear them to be recognized in the parks and such so we can meet each other. I have met like 6 other disers over the years by wearing them or seeing others wear them. It's just kinda neat. I will have mine on, if you see it please do say "hi"::yes:: :wave2:

Per my AoA cast member daughter: Take exit 65 off I-4 for Osceola Pkwy W toward Animal Kingdom/Wide World of Sports (she states the sign says this exact)..merge onto...then a right on Victory, then right onto Century and blam..you are there pixiedust:

thank you!!!!

I have a question about the cones by the cars pool. Are they cabanas that you have to rent or are they on a first come first serve basis?
thanks,
Laurie

So sorry. Hope everything works out for you.

Gee, I hope you at least get to go to Disney World. :flower3:

Thanks, I really wanted to stay at POFQ or POR anyway, so we will move over there, IF we get to go. DH hasn't been definitively approved to be off the one day of work he asked for, so we are just waiting on that approval.

They are cabanas and are first come first serve from what I read.

Hmmm, I'm finding it very odd that we still have yet to see any sign of Sebastian in the LM section. He was mentioned countless times and shown in all the concepts. Maybe that area just isn't accessible to be photographed yet?

I'm very surprised they left out Nala in the LK section.

if anyone has been trying to get lm room for the week of oct 27- nov 3 i might be canceling one very soon. I will post when i have done it so someone can snatch it up ;)

I will most definitely take a ton of pics of the LM section while we are there, and give any good scoops I can to make others stays more informative. Her test stay is for September 10, will be back home on the 13th, so hopefully will upload all the pics and info I can, as long as Mickey's Secret Service does not spot me and confiscate my camera and phone while snooping. :rolleyes1

And your welcome for the directions! I know how crazy and confusing those exits off I-4 can be. :crazy2:

That would be great! We arrive on Sept 15 and are so excited to stay in the LM rooms!

We arrive on the 15th too - I'm hoping the rooms will be ready as soon as we arrive (around 9:30/10 am). We'll be driving down overnight - it would be magical if we could drop the stuff, explore the resort, have lunch and take a quick nap! Who am I kidding it's going to be magical no matter what!!

Double digit dance untilAoA!!!! We leave NC on 11/23 and will be stopping half way in Savannah. When my DH and I went last yr for our honeymoon we drove straight through. However, we thought we would split it up this time since we will have my DSD6 and DS9 months.

It's been a crazy week, had to get an MRI and steroid shots for a pinched.nerve in my back. I told Dr I have about 3 months to get better for Disney...so he better work his magic!!

My flight leaves Saturday at 11:45 pm
Yeah, needless to say I am not going to be sleeping much until we get to our suite at AoA

This may seem like a stupid question... or one that's been asked many times.

We are staying in LM the first week of Dec as well. I'm just wondering- It will be me, DH and DD5 staying in a room. While I know it may seem easy enough for two of us to share a bed, my daughter is impossible to share a king sized bed with at home - as she moves constantly. As for DH and I sharing, it could be done but he's 6'3 220 and needless to say this won't be an ideal situation for me as I'll have very little room left. I'm worried about being exhausted during the trip. Am I able to pack and use a blow up bed for my DD? Or can the hotel provide a cot? Whatever happens we'll make it work... but just thought I'd throw the question out there. I haven't stayed onsite since I was a teenager myself, so I'm not really familiar with resort rules. Thanks! :):)

I'm curious if anyone has the official answer on this, but I can tell you that I've taken an air mattress for my fidgety DS7. It fit well in a Pop room between the far bed and the wall.

We've also simply gathered the comforters from each bed and used them as a soft cushion on the floor between the two beds. He said both were very comfortable and slept well.
