I'm so glad that this 'Thank You' was written. It made me explore and find Cinderella73's wonderful story about the Disney Duffy Magic! I enjoyed it very much, also. Thanks to you both! :flower3:

Oh I am so glad you enjoyed it. My son was so very set on finding that special Duffy more than anything else. It was the most important thing the whole trip to him. The whole trip home without Duffy was a little sad but the look on his face when he got that suprise box 2 weeks later was so worth it. He had to save every single Mickey confetti. lol

I want to stay here for a night or two in feb (no parks) just a special treat for my youngest who loves ariel!!
When can I book?
What are prices like?
Are there double beds for sure or do i need to request that?
are there different views to request ??

We're staying there in October.

Found this link: The mockup of the room’s floor plan! Hopefully, this is accurate, but it looks good. And actual pictures of the buildings. Wonder if these travel agents trespassed to get the pictures.

Depends on when you book in February. Usually the 1st 2 weeks are Value Season. I booked for September and am paying $97.00 weekday and $112.00 weekend. 2 double beds are usually standard.

I am super excited and kinda nervous! I really hope that Pop and Animation will maintain seperate busses. I also wonder if there will be a bridge to link the two resorts or will they be seperate.

There is a bridge already it is just blocked off with a temporary wall right?

What happened to this link? I really need this info as we've never stayed at a value before and I'm concerned about being able to fit a power wheelchair into the room. Could somebody please help me with this info and/or link? Thank you very much.

I didn't see a way to put in for a king room - are they on request only or do they simply not exist in the LM wing?

Yes, the Generation Gap bridge has been in place all this time but blocked, first to what was the aborted Pop Legendary Years buildings and second to the AoA construction.

I assume the bridge will be getting a new name and the decades signs removed.

At Pop the king bed rooms are by request and not guaranteed. Assuming LM will have them, they would need to be added as a request on your reservation. I don't think anyone knows yet if there will be king bed rooms or not -- I'd assume there will be.

Is anyone nervous the rooms won't be ready by the dates Disney's announced? We have a LM room booked for October 1-4 but that's really close to the projected opening date. I really hope it doesn't get pushed back.

Is there enough room to put a pack'n'play in the Little Mermaid rooms?

If they are set up just like the Pop rooms, you can either slide the table down a little and put the pack & play there, or you can put it behind the curtain in the open closet area. My daughter started out putting it by the table with the first baby, but her second baby liked a quiet, dark place to go to sleep by herself, so Jill started putting the pack & play behind the curtain and turning the lights out.

Okay, I just couldn't stand all the excitement around this and I just changed my reservation from a family suite at ASMu to AoA, LK section! It's only a little more $$ for our mid-october vacation, but the idea that the younger DD (will be 6) can sleep in the little pull-down bed, and the older DD can sleep on the pull-out couch (but be up later and watching TV, etc). We'll all sleep better...

I did call Disney yesterday to confirm that the master bedroom had queen size beds and they do. This is important to me, as my DH is tall and we don't both fit in a double bed comfortably.

:yay:

I feel the same way you do ----> :yay: LOL. We wanted AoA, but knew that it wouldn't be ready in time for us in Nov. (the LM section). So we went with Pop. Then we found out that AoA is opening early and now we're booked to go there; we're so excited that I've been jumping up and down like the little man! ---->:yay:

Someone else may have brought this up already(but I might be the only one to find something to complain about:lmao:) but I wonder why the only regular rooms are in the Little Mermaid section.:confused3 It seems like they would want to have rooms that appeal to both boys and girls so Nemo or the Lion King would have been way more appropriate for the regular section. I would assume that the imagineers would have thought of this but maybe not. I really want to try it out but we do not need/want a suite and my little boy stated most emphatically that he does not want to stay in the LM section.

Part of the reason is that the buildings which will become the Little Mermaid section were built prior to the other sections. Pop Century was intended to have two sections, the classic years (1950's-1990's) and legendary years (1900's-1940's). Pop Century (classic years) was completed just prior to 9/11 and its opening was delayed because of the decrease in visitors to WDW. One section of the legendary years was already under construction and Disney stopped the construction after 9/11. The three buildings that had been completed will become the LM section. The other sections of the resort (suites) were just built.

As you all know we are booked for 2 rooms in the LM section for 2 weeks. Did crunch some numbers and called reservations to switch over at least 12 of our days to the Cars suite ( keeping 2 in LM) but nothing is available with the AAA discount except for Lion King.

I like Lion King but dont care for those rooms. Plus the whole thing was that I had a huge Cars fan. So for now we are sticking with LM and will call back to see if a Cars suite opens up with the discount code later on.

Just thought I would let you all know that so far the AAA discount on Cars and Nemo is a no go. They woman tried to cheer me up by reminding me it is hurricane season and someone might cancel . lol Works for me ! :)
