::yes:: I already know the dates of my 2012 trip, where I want to stay, room type, ticket type, even the restaurants where I want to eat. :rotfl: I can't wait until August when I can finally book!

I have been driving myself crazy for the past 2 days trying to to figure out how I am going to plan (and pay for) a trip to AOA. We just put in an offer for BLT resale... So I have some figuring to do. I am dying to stay here. I just wish Disney would announce when booking will start.

I didn't read this whole thread so I'm sorry if this has already been asked. Does anyone know if you'll be able to book a specific themed building or will it be luck of the draw?

Post #2 explains the location of the different themed room. It looks like unless you book a suite you will have a little mermaid room. I am sure you can book a suite and request a certain theme but as always requests are just that and not guarenteed

My 2012 trip is for my 30th. I want to stay deluxe but I don't think it's in the cards. I am going to book Coronado and go from there. If that doesn't pan out financially, I'll try to switch to AoA if it's not booked up (though in early Oct, I doubt it will be unless EVERYONE stays there and NO ONE stays at the other values).

That's probably how it will be. I was just wondering if when you are booking your room you can book a specific themed room, like other categories: water, theme park, savannah, pirate.

I doubt the different themes will be actual booking catagories. Disney only has separate booking catagories when they can charge more for it, such as a pirate room vs a standard room.

I do not see where they could charge more for a cars room vs a lion king etc.

Would be nice if they do, guess we will all have to wait and see when they open up the booking window for 2012 and AOA

I'm really looking forward to staying at this resort next year. We are doing a split trip (Universal Orlando and WDW) so this will fit into the budget nicely. DD wants to stay in the Little Mermaid section. :goodvibes

Yay! Someone on this thread who has heard of these movies! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Little Giants is one of our all time favorites. So wish it were a Disney Movie. The Sandlot is my DS's favorite of all times!!

I know that the AOA is supposed to open next summer, but does anyone know when you can start booking to stay there?

Well, I am disappointed. We had planned on staying at Art of Animation for our next trip, hopefully in 2013, or if not then in 2014. However, my DH and DS absolutely do not want to stay in a Little Mermaid themed room, and we cannot afford the family suite if it is the same pricing as the ones at the All Stars.

We loved Pop, so we'll either book there again, or maybe check out All Stars for a change.

So none of the other buildings, other than Little Mermaid, are going to be double bed rooms? We can't use a Family Suite....we have 7 in our family, so we always book 2 regular rooms. We wouldn't want to stay at the Little Mermaid section....I like the proposed room decor of some of the other sections better. That's odd that they'd make a whole resort nothing but family suites, except that one wing.

someone upthread mentioned that it's likely the only reason there are any regular rooms at all is because those buildings are already built (with regular rooms in them), otherwise it may have been ALL suites.

Wow, guess we won't be able to stay there :( With 7, the Family Suites do not work for us.....even if they did I doubt we'd use them as those chair/beds don't seem comfortable for 10 days. Well that's crud....I was hoping we could check out that hotel on our next fall trip but guess not.

Little Giants is great! 'The Annexation of Puerto Rico' :rotfl: And Ed O'Neill gets to play what Al Bundy always wanted to be. ;)

The 2012 rates will be published in August so maybe it'll be open to reservations then? :confused3 Aulani opened up for reservations about a year out.

Me too!

I'm planning on Beach Club, but if not then AoA it is!! :thumbsup2

I totally understand how you feel. We are a family of 7 also and are finding it challenging, when planning our WDW trips as our family grows. Less options....Still, we are looking forward to AOA. I don't think we'll mind the little mermaid theme being our only option. We'll see what it shapes up to be in the end. Still pretty excited:banana:!

i still excited to see the opening of AOA in May 2012 and I hope to stay in Cars theme!

Any idea when each section will open? My youngest nephew is a huge Cars fan. I really want to be able to stay in that section for our August 2012 trip. I wonder what our changes are of getting that section if that is the only request made. I usually request a certain building, 3rd floor and room facing the pool. I'm willing to stick to one request if it improves our chances of getting placed in the Cars section.

My thought is that the different themes will be bookable catagories such as the Pirate rooms at CBR.
Note according to the initial information that was released about the rooms, the regular room will all be little mermaid themed with the other themes being split up among the family suites which will be scattered thoughout the resort buildings
