I love resort days only. I am doing more and more resort-only days as the years progress, too. It's nice to stop and smell the flowers...uh...or the animals, as the case may be (or maybe not) .

But remember......What comes out ( of the animals )helps fertilize them------->F L O W E R S......he heh.

....my DS should be getting his package today of stuff he bid on [on E-Bay]....arriving in the mail is a bedspread used at Jambo House and an AKL pillow....pretty exciting - his room is really coming together nicely!

We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge next month with the dining plan for the first time. I know Mara is very close but does the pool bar have a drink station for your refillable mug? We've stayed at AKL before but not with the dining plan so I didn't pay attention much to the pool bar and I couldn't find the answer anywhere in the thread using the search feature.

The pool bar does give you a paper cup filled with whatever beverage you want in your cup...They will not take your refillable mug & directly fill it up 4 you...AT least neither time we stayed there that is.

Here now, the club level lounge is not finished. It is located Kudu trail 4395. Depending on who you ask, it will be done on the 23 rd or 27th.

Yes, there are. A lot of the kudu trail rooms facing the Ostrich trail have the "people pen" view, so if you book a standard room and request kudu trail close to the lobby you should have what you are looking for. For what it's worth, that's what I requested for my first visit to AKL but ended up much farther down the hall. I would rather have at least a partial savanna view and walk farther, but if close to the lobby is important make sure you prioritize your request correctly.

I would just like to say that the person who described Zebra Domes is entirely to blame for me upgrading from CBR to AKL

But I have to wait until November 2017 to enjoy one

Is there anywhere within the lodge I can get a latte in a to go cup? I much prefer lattes than coffee and was hoping there was somewhere I could grab one every morning. Thanks!!

im pretty sure in the mara by the pastry's you can get one.....

I know that the Uzima pool at Jambo House closes at 10 (we were unfortunately removed from there last night), but I'm also a vacation club member so I have access to the pool at Kidani. Does anyone know if that pool also closes at 10 or if it is available later into the night?

Sorry I don't know for certain, but I believe Kidani's pool closes at 10pm also. What I do want to stress though is that it's not just DVC members who can use both pools: anyone staying at Jambo or Kidani (DVC or not) is allowed to use both pools.
