Could someone please tell me what item they MOST like from the B'fast buffet at AKL?

Perhaps I should illuminate my question.....everyone raves about Tonga toast at POLY, I'll be staying at AKL for the first time and I want to know what to look forward to.

The jungle juice! I think that's what it's called. Very excellent. In terms of the food, I just remember it all being very good. The good thing about it being a buffet is that you don't have to worry about ordering the wrong thing! :thumbsup2

Yes, I actually got one of those people pen views when paying for savanna view and complained, sigh.
On your jaunts could you please find out if Gordon, the adolescent male giraffe on Uzima, is in time out?

Wait, what did Gordon do to make you think he might have deserved a time out?

(I believe he is the one who was evicted from the Animal Kingdom theme park for licking the guests. I saw him on the Wanyama Safari last March.)

I agree, I would keep the room. They could also cab to the swan, but coming back the swan/dolphin wont call a yellow cab, they have towncars that charge a fixed rate. Feels swanky, but you'll pay about $5 extra. Not terrible, but we hate paying extra. We do it though. Traveling in style. :cool2:

Couldn't you just walk over to the Boardwalk and get a cab from there? Or call a cab yourself from your cell phone?

...Personally I like pap with a little bit of brown sugar and maple syrup....

Boma's never dissapoints, thats for sure..It's a buffet, but the mere word does it No justice...It's waaay more than a buffet...You'll be back, I'm sure of it.
Jiko's I still haven't tried but have heard great things...

Well ... then we'll just have to try BOMA for breakfast then.

Ok ... we finally rented DVC points for 2 night stay in 2 bedroom standard view at AKV before our DCL cruise. I've read lots of reviews on how great the Savannah view was but it was out of our budget. We don't plan to spend too much time in the rooms, and we hope the other spots to view the Savannah at the resort are good.

Seen lots of nice Savannah room view photos. Anyone have any photos of the Savannah from the various (non-room) viewing sites at the resort?

If you read my trip report [a link is located in my signature - the last one] you will find several pictures, as well as other ones of AKL.

Maybe you experts can guide me. I just booked a AKL savanna room today. What do I need to request for a good view. I will be heartsick if I spend all this money and get a view of something other than the savanna and animals. This is our first deluxe visit and probably our only one. We usually stay at pop or POR. Any advise would be great we don't care about the pool but being close to a bus stop and main building are good too. But I think the view from my room is top priority. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Giraffes are my favorite animal but I saw they are on savanna's. Zebras are nice to watch too

Booking on Friday for my first solo trip! Heading back to AKL--still torn on the view, but will probably go with a pool view. Love that area around the pool, especially in the morning!
