In your guys' opinions, between Jambo and Kidani, which has the better animal viewing experience? We'll be renting DVC points, are both able-bodied youngins 
so having to hike to our room is no biggie.
We'll probably only be in our rooms early mornings and evenings but we both really want to be able to sit and drink some coffee in the morning and possibly an adult beverage in the evenings while watching the animals.

Hi everyone! What a great thread. Let me start by saying that we first stayed at AKL back in December of 2011 and fell IN LOVE
So excited our waitlist came through from DVC, and we are now staying in a Studio Standard view from 12/3-12/8. Myself, DH & my cousin...can't wait!!!

All right everyone, I paid for a Deluxe Savannah View Studio at the Kidani Village.
They want me to pick from room options, and there were some great suggestions already made for others. But, of course, I'd prefer some further explanations for my reservation because I have no idea what room I actually have and what would be best for Husband and I.
A little about us: Couple in our early 30s. Screaming children make us itchy and I'm a light sleeper. From the following, what would be the best choice or choices to make sure that our first time on property ensures a magical resort experience?

Lower Floor
Pembe Savannah
Sunset Savannah
Near Lobby
Near Elevator
So far I only put Sunset Savannah because the name sounds fun. But about the floors and the rest? I'm open to recommendations from you lovely folks!

I think it is a personable preference. From what I hear the hallways are long at kidani so if this is an issue for you pick close to lobby. I also read the sunset savannah is bigger ?

At Kidani, you definitely want Sunset Savannah. It's the better one there, just like Arusha is the better one at Jambo.
Lower floor gets you closer to the animals, so we liked that.
If you're not driving, you also want to ask for close to lobby. Picture the longest hallways you can possibly imagine. Now times it by four. That's about half of Kidani. We were in the second to last room, and it literally took us about 8 minutes to walk to the lobby, and we're two adults around 40 with no kids. So that's about .4 miles, give or take. Almost a half mile hallway. So you can see how close to lobby is important!
However, if you do drive, Kidani has convenient under-building parking out on the wings, where away from lobby might be better!
