Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

As far as I know they still only take room request by fax.

Fax: 407-939-7333

anyone else know if that has changed?

I have not posted in so long, I want to know how many days for us to eeyoregon!

Not long at all!! Are you in a preferred building?

Last year we were on the back side of the Home Run building, close to the parking lot and we loved it as we had a rental car and it was a very short walk to our room. We might ask for that again.

My boys would prefer the Basketball building but it looks like it is FAR away from everything!

No, I didn't spring for a preferred room this trip. I requested the Touchdown building when I made our reservation because it looked close to stadium hall, but I think my boys would love baseball too. Either one would work for us. I am so excited and the trip is coming quicker than expected!

Yes. The preferred method of doing a request is to call and have it added to your ressie. Some resorts do not honor faxes (so I've heard). I've always called mine in as recommended.

Actually the Basketball building is not that far from everything. It is just on the other side of the Surf's Up building. It is a really short walk to the pool, food court and buses. I thought it was a lot quieter at the Basketball building than other buildings when I was walking around taking pictures.

We just got back and we were in building 6 facing the parking lot. It was great for us, we got a first floor room. Just a real short walk to the pool and just a little longer to the food court/arcade, (which I considered our exercise for the day). It was quiet and our maids the first few days was great.

I'm so happy to have found this thread! I just booked Sports for June 2010 and was having second thoughts. Now, I feel great about my decision. Is it too soon to be excited?

It's never too soon to get excited! I'm sure you'll enjoy ASSp - we had a wonderful stay there last October :thumbsup2

We'll be there this Sunday, 8/30. :cool1:

Never stayed at Sports before, so it should be an adventure. :wizard:

Just back from 9 days at Sports last night. We were busy at the parks & eating for free dining most of the time. Our room was in the Homerun Hotel section, which we requested. We arrived about 12:30 pm, had online checkin which had no wait and our room was ready. We transferred over from CBR. We left there by cab at 12:15 and we were in our room with our luggage delivered by bell services at 12:41. The room was 8162 on the 1st floor right next to the pool. I was a little worried that it would be noisy, but it wasn't bad. The pool is supposed to close at midnight and most nights there were still a few people in past 12, but they were quiet. Only on one night there was a group of loud folks...I was about to call the front desk...they left about 1:00 am. The buses were pretty good. There were waits at times, but that is to be expected. We always had our own bus going to the parks. Also, had our own coming back from MK & Epcot. Shared for AK & DHS...and DTD and that was the worst as usual. Food court was good, busy in the morning & at night with people returning from the parks. We enjoyed our stay...no major problems here. Hope everyone has a good stay. :cool1: :goodvibes

I'm getting excited to go now. We've requested the Football section since we are huge football fans!!!

We walked over the football field everyday to get to our room. There were many people playing catch on the field. Also, one boy had his kicking tee and was practicing his punting with his dad. Everyone was well behaved and having lots of fun. Hope you have a great time. :goodvibes

I love the football section. Actually there is no bad section. They are all great...
