Those pictures are great! I'll be there in 20 days! As my son would say - Yeah Baby!!! What building/room where you in? Hope you guys had a great time and thanks for posting for us!:cool1:

I think it's safe to post over here, don't wanna spoil my Trip Report readers, who am I kidding............:lmao:

Seriously:

We were assigned a room in the tennis section. (I think you call it that) Building 4. On the map it showed that we were at the back end of the Resort. Our walk to the main pool and Main Building was 3-4 minutes.

It seems like they put you in the nose bleed section, but actually everything is just a little walk.

The rooms were very nice and new looking. Especially the carpet. The beds were comfortable. I have a bad back and woke up just fine each morning.

We used a crib and the sheets had baby mickey mouses on them very cute.
And the crib was gently used.

We were right outside of the court where Huey Duey and Louie are playing baseball on a tennis court and Donald is on the other side getting upset.

This was our view. Sorry the picture is so dark.

I'd be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability.

I loved the huge head board that both beds shared.

BTW: Those pictures were all taken at like 6am, on my way to the laundry facilities. Everything is $2.00. The soap, fabric softener, wash, and dry.

It poured the day before and there was no way I was taking those dirty drenched clothes home like that.

There are signs that ask you not put shoes in the dryers. People did anyways.

We put our shoes on the window sills and they were dry when we came back from the park. Good thing we all had a second pair.

Hi Monica  Now, I'm even MORE excited to read your TR because you stayed at ASSports! We're booked into preferred rooms (4 rooms) at ASSports soon and I'm looking forward to getting the "inside scoop" about the resort. I've requested ground floor rooms on the front side of Surf's Up #1, as it's the closest to the food court and buses (we have an aunt in our group who uses a wheelchair, so we're looking for the easiest route for her kwim?). Here's hoping that's the location we get!

Your pictures of the Surf's Up pool look great - can't wait to get there!!! Thanks for the pictures, they're great!

Thanks to everyone in this thread - wonderful pictures and information :flower3:

You know, I think I need to write the resort name as ASSp - if you read the "full" resort name, it looks a bit naughty :lmao:

We stayed there too in early August. If you use the towels for the pool, please don't wait like I did to get more..However, the mousekeeping were very nice and pleasant even at 10:30 at night. We were in Surf's up building 6..room 6346...it was on the quiet side, but convinient(spelled wrong) to everything.. Monica and I have the same pictures...good to know someone else has the same taste for picture taking:)

monymony3471,

Did they already have an ironing board in the room, or did you have to ask for it?

Thanks,

Luis Rodriguez

we just switched from the suites at ASMu to 2 ROOMS AT ALL STAR SPORTS....for our thanksgiving trip...the kids are hyped about staying someplace different..we've saty at pop a few times, old key west and we always do a few days at nick hotel....we never tell them which resort we are staying at until we get there...so there is always a little suprize....

cant wait until nov.....!!!!!!!!

We stayed our last night at ASsp. It was good. Lots of football teams there (HS) when we were leaving but they were polite and respectful. We were in the football building overlooking the "field". Loved the location. So quick to pool, main building and bus. I did see a sign saying that the arcade would be closed starting on Sept 9th for renovations.

We're leaving in 2 weeks for our trip. Have never stayed in a value resort, and am very happy reading the positive reviews for All Star Sports. I have one question maybe some could answer.

We are a group of 10 staying for 10 days so we plan on having 5 cases of water delivered from Garden Grocer. Can anyone tell me if Garden Grocer will bring the water right to your room, or do they bring it to the front desk? If they do bring it to the front desk and we have to haul it back to the room, is there some sort of cart available for transporting it? A case of water is pretty heavy and I don't want to have to worry about getting 5 of them back to the room.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Monica

Thanks for posting the new pictures....this is my first time staying in one of Disney's Value resorts and I admit I am a little nervous. After seeing your pictures with the updates to the room - they look wonderful..

Thanks again

I just used garden grocer myself. I did place an order for my sister last April and her stuff was delivered to her room. They had to be there though. They give you a 2 hour window to pick from and they call you while they are so far away for a heads up.

I was not in my room for me delivery so they left it with the front desk. Because I had one case of water, let alone 5!, I called the front desk while we were at one of the parks about to leave and asked them if they could bring the delivery to my room. They did and it was all there waiting for us when we returned. I had milk in my order and the front desk kept it in one of their fridges for me so it would stay cold.

Mouseless2Long I found a thread that talks about Garden Grocer:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=22308267#post22308267&highlight=Garden+Grocer

By reading the thread it seems like they will deliver right to your room but you need to meet them at your room.

Maybe someone has first had expierence and can help with this question.

I did! See above.

Monica

Thanks again

Our first stay was the Coronado, love the resort. The rooms might be a little bigger, but still the same setup as a value. I have 2 rooms for a family of 6. Except for the boys sitting on the beds to watch TV or sleep, all of our stuff was still in the one room.

We just returned from a nine night stay at ASSports. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the resort. Mousekeeping did a nice job every day- including straightening the sink area with a cute design when my DD left several items (contacts case, elastic hair ties, etc.) laying there. We noticed the pool area was power washed every day. The bus service was better than expected, we never had to wait very long for a bus to take us to any of the parks or when returning to the resort.
