Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC Resort

Just finished a 5-night stay at ASM March 20th-25th. We booked a Preferred Room and were placed in Jazz building 2 ground floor on the end closest to the main pool. Location was far enough from the pool that noise and foot traffic was minimal but close enough that the lobby was only a 2-3 minute walk. No issues with the room except the shower water pressure wasn't great, and housekeeping was very delayed. They would not arrive to clean our room until around 4:30-5pm, and once woke us up during an afternoon nap even with the do not disturb tag outside the door.

We were worried about the bus-only transportation during the spring break crowds but had zero issues the entire stay! The All Star resorts each had their own busses all day and were efficient. The first bus of the day for each park arrived around 70-80 minutes before early entry. We would check the app for bus times when they first appeared, arrive a few minutes prior and never had too big of lines or missed the first bus. Never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus at any point in the trip. After park close, the lines were longer to get back to the resort but they would have busses nearly back-to-back which made it very smooth.

For anyone who believes the value resorts are nothing more than cheap sketchy motels, you could not be more wrong. The rooms are recently renovated and are far cleaner/well-maintained than the majority of hotels I've stayed at in recent years, and the entire property is well kept. If you are spending the majority of your trip in the parks, instead of booking Deluxe stay Value and use the savings on dining, souvenirs, Lightning Lane or another trip!

I have been telling people for years that once the "Values" finally got indoor plumbing,it made a world of difference.lol :)

I guess it will depend on the family, but I know for my family it would be a horrible vacation if we tried to squeeze 4 people in an all star regular room with 2 kids having to sleep in the same bed.

I haven't found it too bad. I've had my teenage boys share and while they didn't habe as much space as they were use to they were fine with it for 10 days. They would rather that then not go or go for a shorter period. We were even holed up for awhile because of a hurricane. When I was growing up it was normal for everyone I knew to share hotel beds with siblings on vacation. I think the only time it wouldn't work is if you had opposite gendered children after 10 or 11.

Yep. The first time we got 2 separate hotel rooms was my senior year in high school when my dad's new job started in December and my parents wouldn't move me (trust me, I BEGGED...HS was horrible for me bully-wise). We flew to Nashville for Spring Break to visit and look for a house and the organization he worked for paid for my sister and me to have a separate room. We were 17 and 12.

And even after that it was another good long while until we did a family trip for our parents' 45th anniversary that we got our own room when traveling.

Hi All.Recently returned from my first stay at ASMusic. I had a great 7 nights in a preferred room Calypso building 10 . Location was really good. I have stayed in most of the Disney resorts and this was probably the quietest room yet.I had an end room and I was next to the back room of a suite so no door next to me. No door banging from neighbors. I think housekeeping were the only people that came by. LOL. I didn't use the pools but the main one often had activities. Loved the food court. I had a couple of meals there and also a banana peanut butter milkshake. All were really good. My last night there I was given some pixie dust from the food court manager Stacey. She was great. She saw that I couldn't decide on milkshake or cupcake. We started talking and she told me to get both on her. That was such a nice surprise. Later back at my room two CMs delivered a resort souvenir gift bag from Stacey. That was a nicer surprise and very unexpected. I headed down to the food court and thanked her and gave her a big hug. Disney pixie dust doesn't happen to me so this was really a nice surprise and way to end my first stay at ASMusic. I am sure I will be back. My stay was excellent. Just wanted to share my great experience at ASMusic.🤗

Yes @Dug720 I was lucky. I had requested non connecting 3rd floor room Calypso building. I had hoped for 10 but either was fine. Using the elevator the walk to the food court and busses was 3 minutes.I am a very slow walker do to health issues so for many people it would be less than 2 minutes for sure. I still can't believe how quiet it was. Oh and housekeeping was great also. Again do to health issues I asked for no housekeeping or security checks till after 1030am. And had no problem there even on check out day. I hope you have luck also. Enjoy your trip.
