Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC Resort

Does anyone know if the coffee pots in the family suites use the coffee "pods" or standard filters/loose coffee? Thanks!

Yes! Heidi K family suites has coffee maker. The Coffee Maker is Standard Filters.

The coffee makers are the pod type, just like most other resorts. Joffrey's regular and decaf pods are provided.

my neice is going the end of may with a band group, is the food court still closed? thanks!

The food court is not closed and hasn't been. It was closed at Sports last year for a renovation. Rumor is that Music will be getting a renovated food court later on this year. It's doubtful that the renovation will start before the end of the summer though. So she should be in the clear. :thumbsup2

Are all rooms in the Calypso buildings (1&10) preferred? Or just certain sections of those buildings?

If I wanted to be in a room as close to Melody Hall as I could get, without paying for a preferred room, what should I request?

This may have already been asked and answered, but does anyone know if the bathrooms have a curtain to separate them from the rest of the room? We are going in a few weeks and I want to plan accordingly. Thanks!

The entirety of the two Calypso buildings are considered preferred. So, the next closest section is Jazz Inn buildings 2 and 9.

Yes, there is a privacy curtain separating the sink area from the bedroom area. The shower/toilet area has a door.

question for anyone that has stayed at the Suites at ASMU...have they been included in any resort room discounts ? and if so how much of a percent off ?? thanks!:wave2:

I looked there first. I don't know which items (if any or all) are QS. It just says "Tables in Wonderland" not "Quick Service Meal".
The dining plan gives you a drink, entree and dessert for a meal. When we got breakfast at the resort, we would get a bottle of water (to take to the parks later since we used our refillable mug for coffee, or our kids would get a juice), a breakfast "meal" (eggs/pancakes whatever) and a rice krispie treat ;)

I don't believe you can get the cereal boxes or other "ala carte" items that they have as a breakfast meal, but I could be wrong. We never did it because you got more bang for your buck the way we did it. Hope that helps!

The food courts are quick serve. A QS "meal" consists of an entre, drink and dessert. Breakfast however, does not include dessert so therefore it's not the best meal to use a credit.

Tables in Wonderland is a discount card that annual pass holders can purchase.

Just booked our first trip to all star music! Its for late October. Does anyone know if any tour groups typically stay there late October? We will stay there either way, but would like to know.

Just an FYI for those hearing rumors of a food court remodel this fall, I spoke to our TA (and she is VERY on top of everything, trust me) and she said she has heard nothing about any sort of remodel. She said she will keep her ears and eyes open, but hasn't heard any kind of peep at all about it, so we should be all good! :thumbsup2

I hope so. Just booked for 9/28 - 10/3. Had to cancel my room for ASMo so I could get "FD".
