Is there a kiddie pool or wet jets/sprinkler area? On the Website it just takes about the two pools but I thought I seen someone mention something about a kiddie pool or something? Does anyone know or have pictures?

There is a kiddie pool area between the main Mickey pool and the laundry facilities. It has a very shallow small pool and I think a small fountain. Then down by the Herbie Victory Lane area - there are sprinklers that come out of the ground. It's not a pool area per se, but I've seen my share of kids playing there and having fun (and getting totally soaked!).

When we were there end of january they did not have the pop jets at Herbie working But the water pouring down from the tire like sign(??) was coming down hard. We always go in January and the ones at Pop century had always been working whenever we stayed there.

Hey just bumping this up to see if anyone has been recently. We arrive May 29th at AS Mo and are staying through June 5th. We are All Star Veterans but haven't stayed at ASMo in about 4 or 5 years (we've stayed at ASMu and the last 2 trips POP and CBR)

After those last 2 trips didn't feel CBR was worth the extra $$ and though POP is nice, we prefer the All Stars.

My mom (93) is coming with us and we thought movies was the best for theming.

So has anyone been recently and willing to share your experience.

A video of a newly rehab room was posted on allears.net. Also posted on another thread. Buildings are being completed in numerical order & will be completed in November. Building 1 is completed.

From that video - can one assume that the inside theming of the rooms is going to be all generic now (i.e. the bed covers were plain stars and the wall border was for ALL the different themes) with only the pictures on the walls to denote what section you are in? Just wondering as the room appeared generic, but the picture said it was in the dalmations building.

Yes, POP & ASMU rehab were in the same fashion of being kind of generic theme except for the wall decor. It is nice now that the rooms will be all clean for ASMO resort guests. So for all of you booked at the ASMO in the next six months good luck for getting a new rehab room

The kids had been begging to go to ASMo! They love Pop (got a refirbed room last June) and we were down for POFQ for a refirbed room there, but when I read about the refirb I figured I would save some $$$ and make the kids happy too.

From the info on the other thread about the refirb it takes about 3-4 weeks for a building to be completed so 3 or 4 will be done by the time we get there!

I do have one question... I assume AS resort is like POR and POFQ and we can swim in all the pools? And we can watch the pool movie at ASMu?

Yes, you Can. We'll be at AS Movies as well and if the kids want to head for a movie one night at the Music Pool, I'll take them. I'm hoping to be in Mighty Ducks as we have in the past so we'll be relatively close to Music's main building and pool. We drive and actually prefer a standard room.

I actually prefer the std rooms at Pop, but all that was available for AP rate was prefered so I am going to request Buildings 1-4 and so we are closer to ASMu... DS will want a Mickey waffle for breakfast!

I might be driving from Sanford and getting in late the first night. Have never driven on WDW property, always taken ME, but the airfare is 1/2 that of flying into MCO and $800 for a "free" ride seems a bit much.

Thinking of switching to ASMo from Pop. We don't pay for a prefered room at pop. But would for the ASMO can you request which section? I would prefer either dalmations or toy story.

Yes the pools are heated. the mcdonalds is a little more expense, it is disney, there is a bar at all three properties right by the pools so can watch the kiddies swim.

one time just out of curiousoty ask for a prefered room upgrade and at first said it would cost extra and then when i said we would rather not pay extra and use the money for souveniers the lady asked her boss and he said yes consider it a gift from Mickey. How lucky are we. So just ask the worst they could say is no.

You can request a building when you make your reservations, but they'll still tell you they can't guarantee that you'll get the one you want. I can tell you this....we've never NOT gotten the building we requested.

Toy Story, Dalmations and Fantasia are all prefered buildings. We always request Fantasia...that's our favorite. We love the big hat!!

I heard that they are going to be showing movies now at the ASMo pool... we have to check with the front desk when we check in for a list of what is going on at the resort.

I hope that is true about the Movies at the Pool. I read a report from someone that said they were showing them at All Star Sports, so maybe they are going to start doing it at all All Stars instead of just Music.

Does anyone have an update about which buildings have been refurbished? I know Dalmation...curious about Fantasia. We're going on the 22nd of this month and I would like to request a redone room - just like everyone will be doing I'm sure. Will I have any luck with my request this close to our vacation date?
