Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES Resort

Three questions:
1)Do they have alarm clocks in the rooms, or can you get a wake-up call?
2)What time does the buses/shuttle leave in the morning when there is the extra-magic hour?
3) Any suggestions on the best place to park a car? We are arriving very late at night.
Can't wait!!!!!

1. Yes there are alarm clocks in the rooms or you can have a wake up call. We went with the wake up call each morning and always received the call from Stitch.

2. The buses start running an hour prior to park opening.

3. We did not have a car so I can't help you with that answer.

thank you xnascar2x - you're the best!

thanks xnascar2x for the info. I hope our family will stay in this all star movies. Thanks again.

My wife and I have decided that since we abandonded our 4 children for our 15th anniverasry :cool1: and went to Disney in November of 2006 (stayed at the Wilderness Lodge) it was time to take the kids again. We were considering doing two rooms at this resort vs, a pricer resort. Any input would be appriciated. We are also considering giong the week before the week of Thanksgiving. Any replys would be appriciated.

For us, it always comes back to money. 2 rooms at AS is cheaper than anything that will accept our family of 5. Except, sometimes, POR by about $10 a night. And at the AS we get 2 bathrooms, 2 tvs & much more space.

We've been the week ending around Nov 18th a couple of times & had the best non-crowds out of all of our trips. It would be my first choice for dates, except I prefer a mid-winter break.

We are staying in the ASMovies for 3 nights in March with the kids. We also need 2 rooms as we have 6 kids. The first 1/2 of our trip we are staying at WH then checking into AS for my birthday.:goodvibes

We stayed at POR last year and loved it, but since we are spending most of our time at the parks, I figured we would try a value.

We have never stayed at ASM before, but we are hoping for a trip in April. We just decided so I have a lot of planning to do. There is so much great info here, but it does seem a little overwhelming. I'm feeling good just knowing we have picked a resort. It is so late I'm wondering if I should just book a room and go from there?

Thanks to all of you for the great stuff in this thread!!!:thumbsup2

We will be staying at ASMo 1/23-1/27. Does anyone know if there are any groups (sport teams, bands, etc.) staying here during this time?

Thanks!

Have the rooms at ASMo been refurbished? Or will they be working on the soon? I know the have done rooms at ASMu and I have heard conflicting reports on the the Movies. We are looing at staying here the end of September.

If they have been refurbished and anyone would happen to have pictures of the refurbished rooms I would love to see them! TIA

One more quick question...

Do the rooms have the privacy curtain between the sink area and the rest of the room? We will have a 2 (almost 3 year old) along and it would be nice to be able to turn the light on without distrubing him. For some reason noise does not wake him up, but the minute you turn the light on he is up! Again TIA!

There is a door between the sink area and the bathroom.
