So, do people who stay in the might ducks just use the AS Music buses most mornings?

We didn't we were the Refillable mug type so we would get coffee/tea/hot chocolate on the way to the bus stop. We did at times get off there at the end of the night. Not offten but on occasion.

Subbing in. Planning a long weekend trip for MNSSHP at the end of Sept. We will have to stay Value this trip, (we're normally Poly people), and the ASMo appeals to me much more than the other Value resorts. Thanks for all the great info so far! Can't wait to see a pic of a refub'd room!

Thanks so much for the link! I just booked for Sept 24th-28th. The CM on the phone told me all that the only rooms available were in Toy Story or Love Bug, (although not sure how he knew this? I thought the phone bank employees only went by prefferred/standard), so I booked Toy Story. As long as we are close to the pool, I'm a happy camper.

That CM was off his rocker. They have no clue what you will get. The reosrt gives rooms assignments about 3-4 days prior to your arrival. You can book standard or preferred, and I believe toy story is preferred, while lovebug is standard. But as for buildings, you can make a request, but there is no guarantee.

On the way back from our 8 night stay at ASMo. I'll post more when I'm on my computer at home. Stayed in arefurbed room in bldg 2. DB DSIL and mom were in bldg 3 which eas still being worked on. Their room had not been done yet.

1 is Dalmations...2 and 3 are Mighty Ducks..I beleive and 5 and 8 are Fantasia...if the map I looked at is right. I kind of want Fantasia myself, but also want a refurbed room. I am goin in Aug, and highly doubt the Fantasia building will be done then, so I think I'm gonna request Dalmations. I think I will wait a bit to put my request in and see how things are going.

i called and spoke to the front desk / maintenance at the All stars movies and they are currently refurbing the resort. they are starting w/ the building in numerical order- the last to be completed are the toy story buildings- slated to be completed by nov 5th. When i called the general disney line 3 seperate times they siad that the refurbs were not happening- but they were wrong - as the hotel front desk and maintenance said other wise..

I just got back from All Star Movies June 19th. My family stayed a week. I saw that Disney is working on part of builiding 4 Perdita 101 Dalmations when I left. I did online check in and received my requests. There was a long line of people trying to check in regular line but no line for me. It was quick and easy plus room was ready when we arrived 11am. I received the corner room in building 1 close to the buses on the ground floor. My phone request to receive building 1 worked. You can't request for a specific building when doing online check in. The refurb room looked wonderful and the beds were great. We were in the parks all day every day. We didn't participate in any of the games by the pool, however one night we caught half of a movie by the pool. FYI if trying to catch a movie, plan to arrive early as pool chairs get taken very quickly.

Are the rehabbed rooms getting privacy curtains between the sinks and beds?

Correct you have a curtain separating the sink from the bedroom. I was able to get up early in the morning and get dressed without disturbing my family. The curtain blocks out a lot of the light.

I agree. there was no one in line for online check-in when we got there and a few familes in the regular line.

Were the ground floor request online..or you did those on the phone as well. I never do online checkin and I usually make my requests by phone...then I fax as well (when staying at Pop). This time I may try online check in though.

I think the potential "downside" with room requests and on-line check in is that if you have two requests and they can't meet both, they don't know which is more important to you. For example, if you request ground floor, bldg XX and they don't have a ground floor in that bldg, they will get you a ground floor in another building. But maybe having a certain building is more important to you than being on the ground floor.
