Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES Resort

I am staying at Movies next month. I am staying in a standard room. Would I be guaranteed to stay in a certain section like Love Bug or could I end up in any building?

I am not worried about walking to the main building just wondering how close I will be to the pool.

Thanks

When I did online check-in last week for our standard room it gave me the option to request either Mighty Ducks or Love Bug section.

I've never done online checkin. When we put in your requests are you able to add anything else like a floor?

Thanks! Can't wait to go next week!

I don't think you can request a specific floor, but I do know one of the options was "ground floor". Sorry I'm not much help, I didn't make any specific requests this time so I'm just going off memory.

We're considering a stay at Movies in August because of the special offers. I thought I had heard awhile back that all value rooms now have mini-frigs and wireless, but now I can't find something saying that, and when I start to book the package on WDW's site, it asks if I want to add a frig for $10.

Can someone confirm whether that is just outdated and the rooms now have them, along with free wireless (since I have to do a bit of work while gone).

Thanks!

Yes, movies has fridges and wifi now, so that probably would be a bit outdated :) We just got back 2 weeks ago and even though we wouldn't have paid extra for the fridge or wifi, we thought it was great (especially the fridge)

Great, thanks for the speedy response!

Hello everyone this will be my family and I's first trip to Disney. We will be staying at the All Star Movies and we check in May 25th for about 7 days. I am really greatful for this forum and this section on ASM, tons and tons of useful information.

I was nervous at first about booking it but it seems like the hotel has been updated in the last year and now they have fridges and wifi and seems to get better and better as I read through all 135 pages.

One more question -

Is there any way to fit a twin size air mattress in the value rooms at night (and then just standing up against the wall during the day when we're moving around)?

You probably can but just an FYI, I don't believe they allow more than 4 in a value room unless it's a suite.

Unless of course the 5th person is under 3 ;)

We're thinking about taking a small inflatable mattress next time. It should fit. When we go back our youngest will be 2.5 years old and I'm doubtful that he'd still want to sleep in a pack n play. We're 5 in a family and I plan on staying in a regular room at a value for as long as we can:) When we were there last month, we put the pack n play in the space between the bathroom and the entertainment center/dresser/fridge thing, and I was thinking that next time, we could temporarily move the table & chairs to that area and put a mattress down in the space where the table is?!

We have two small children that i would worry about falling out of the beds. Question can you push the side of the beds up against the wall or are they connected to the headboards? Would it be better to bring bed rails? Just trying to cut back on stuff we have to bring. We are a family of 8 so it is a lot of stuff to bring already without extras. :)

I'm not sure about Movies, but I know at Pop the bed is connected to the floor. There is no way to move them.

The beds can't be moved.

There is room for a twin matress...I'd suggest right in front of the door (that appears to be the most room).

Beds can't move but you can get bedrails from housekeeping.

We just returned from our first stay at ASMo. Any questions?

Do you know if there are headphone jacks on the new TV's? I'm sure there will be times when some of us would like to sleep and others would prefer to watch TV. :happytv: TIA!

Here now. I see video inputs and USB inputs but no headphone inputs.

So...how far do the free 100 points go in the resort arcade? And how much do the games cost OOP? Are they a set amount like at Chuck E Cheese, or individually priced? My kiddos are planning ahead to budget their spending $$. Thanks!
