My girls and I will have a boy-free day :cheer2: in the parks and we really want to see the Aladdin musical. Are there any tips or tricks I need to know to get in? We want to go to the earliest showing that day which will be at 12:40

Our goal is to slow down and take in the shows and entertainment that my DS and DH never want to do. What other things are a must see? Our special day is wed Oct 16th and girls are 10 and 16. :dance3: Thanks

When you first arrive, you'll need to choose one of the three seating sections: Orchestra, Mezzanine, or Balcony. I like sitting in the front of the Mezzanine section as you get a really good view of the performers as they enter through a variety of locations.

We were there a week ago on Saturday and got in line about twenty minutes before showtime. It wasn't that crowded and we were able to find good seats.

If you are planning to see World of Color, grab a Fastpass at the Grizzly River Run Fastpass area. The WoC Fastpass is disconnected so you can have other Fastpasses in hand.

Most people will tell you you can show up about 10 or 15 minutes before show time and get a great seat. And they are right. DH and I however are definitely the take it slow types and creatures of habit. We will usually grab a counter service lunch and arrive to get in line about 40-45 minutes early. Then we pull up a nice bit of cement in the Orchestra level line and enjoy our lunch while we wait for the doors to open. Generally we will get the steak nachos from WWS.

When they open the doors, we take the stairs up to the left. Then we go all the way to the far side of the theater and down the stairs. We sit in the first row behind the half wall as close to the aisle as we can. Usually we get the aisle since everyone is trying to get floor seats or center seats. For us, this is the perfect spot. Close enough that you can see everything, but not so close that you miss out on the "wide screen" details. Plus if you're behind that little wall, no tall people get to block your view. Good luck on your girls day! Its sounds like a great day to us.

May I also suggest snacks on the front porch on Main Street for an excellent break and people watching.

which times do you all recommend to go? taking into account lunch, and usual peaks of troughs of the day?

We went to the 2:20 show. We had reservations at Cafe Orleans and they seated us early when we stopped by to ask about moving up our lunch. For a Saturday, on a busy day for both parks, Aladdin wasn't too crowded.
