This is Diskim's Husband (whoever thought I would refer to my wife like that?). Anyway, we had the length of stay ultimate pass when we stayed at the Poly, so one night when we all broke up in differant directions, I took my 8 yr old daughter to DQ. We got there around 6 which was probably our first mistake, and it was also summer, so it was very crowded. The layout was overwhelming. We waited in line for the create your rollercoaster and found out my daughter wouldn't be able to do it (I did not see the posted height restriction, who knew a simulator would have one, she is tall enough for everything else?!) We did do a neat VR space rescue mission, but the other VR items with the headsets were skeevy. The small video panels in the eye holes were "slimed" either from their cleaning fluid (which they make a cursory swipe after every ride) or what my mind decided was exhailation of a thousand sweaty vacationers.
I would never want to have a night like that again, but I would go back if I 1) went in off-peak season, 2) went early in the day.
