DisneyQuest & old Plus tickets??

I could have sworn that somewhere on this board I read that people had their old Plus tickets upgraded (free of charge) to include DisneyQuest!!!!

I tried to do this last week while I was in Disney but I could not find anyone who would do this for me. All CMs I talked to said that old Plus tickets could not be upgraded.

Any ideas how I can get this done?? We would loved to try DQ and it would be great to be able to use all these extra Pluses we have.

Upgrading of old park hopper plus tickets to be good at Disney Quest has been a rare pixie dust special i.e. random act of kindness.
