Hello there!

My fiance (very soon to be husband) are visiting Disneyland for the first time next week, and I'm wondering what some "must hit" items would be a good fit for our honeymoon. We're only spending 3 days there, then venturing up to the Hollywood area.

We're frequent visitors to WDW (plus I spent some time there on the College Program), so we're familiar with most things Disney. We have reservations our first night at Napa Rose Chef's Counter- but that's all I've figured out so far! I don't want to waste our precious few days there doing anything that's super similar to WDW- I want to experience the DL magic!

So for first time visitors, Disney lovers, and honeymooners all rolled in to one- what would you recommend we definitely put on our Disney to-do list?

:bride::groom:

Check for Blue Bayou reservations on a day other than your Napa Rose ones. The food is nowhere near Napa Rose quality but the atmosphere is romantic and the experience unique to DL. Request a waterfront table and be willing to wait for it as it makes the experience even more memorable! Congrats and have a wonderful time!

AWe, we spent our honeymoon at Disneyland also and it's been a magical 30 years. Wishing you all the happy memories of a lifetime together::yes::

I had my DLR honeymoon in July of this year! I agree with gottalovepluto about BB. Having a meal at a table where you can see boats float by from one of Disneyland's most popular rides is an experience truly unique to Disneyland, and is one not to be missed. I also recommend getting your silhouettes done together and having photos taken in front of the castle at night. Additionally, if Fantasmic! will be showing when you're there, you could get the dessert package and watch it together. :goodvibes

We're WDW vets just back from our first trip. Our lunch at Blue Bayou was super romantic. Storyland Canal Boats at night also has a romantic sweetness to it.

There's also something romantic about DCA's paradise pier area at night - ride Mickeys Fun Wheel (the stationary cars!) and play boardwalk games. Maybe do the dining package for World of Color, which is part of that Paradise Pier romance. It was so romantic that DBF proposed to me right after the show!

Not romantic per se, but really fun for adults is an evening at Trader Sam's tiki bar at DLH. I hope they build one of those at the Poly.

DH and I honeymooned at DLR 7 years ago. I second getting your sillouette done. It's been so long, I don't remember her name, but the artist noticed our just married buttons and asked when we got married. I think it had been like 3 days. She asked us if we wanted our sillouette done with a veil on me and a tux on DH. She told us she didn't it for everyone, just those on their honeymoon and that she was the only one who did it. It turned out so cute and it is one of my favorite things now. Can't wait to get DD's done in December to go on the wall next to it. Such a great keepsake at a reasonable price.

We also did the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. As Disney fans, that was a lot of fun. It will eat up about 4 hours of one day, but the whole experience is very unique to Disneyland. Wish they had Walt's apartment available when we went!

Congratulations!
When we were there last year, we saw a honeymooning couple get their own boat for IASW, and the CMs announced that it was their honeymoon. it was cute, the entire line cheered and applauded

I don't recommend mooning Disney during any of your visits. Why when my Cousin Vinny did that on a dare during spring break while a college student, security chased him about the various lands, but fortunately couldn't really catch him because the security dudes had not much to grab hold of, seeing how he was only wearing his hooters tshirt and his keds at the time. Fortunately, security wasn't able to catch up to him. My cousin managed to give them the slip somewhere between Fantasyland and Adventureland. My cousin then darted into the enchanted Tiki room toiety where he had stashed his cargo pants. Finished dressing, and then joined Jose and friends in what had to be one of the biggest and most flamboyant shows of all time!

Honeymooners going to Disney have to get the Wedding Mickey hats! We did that on our honeymoon to Orlando. Wherever we went with those hats on, we got the royal treatment. We'd get our own boats on water rides, showered with confetti at restaurants. They make you feel like VIP with those hats. Be sure and get them!
