ok-new to the disboards--i am arriving in Disney on Sept 30, 2006 for my honeymoon, staying in the wilderness lodge--need advice on what to see and do--always have come to disney with kids--p.s. my fiance has never been to disney, i want to make it magical...help :bride:

Hope you have an awesome honeymoon......both of our kids went to disney for their honeymoon too.......they had a blast

maybe make a reservation at some special restaurant would be good and dont forget to buy the mickey and minnie bride and groom hats.....they are adorable...

I went on my disneymoon in June - you are going to have a wonderful time! First of all, make sure you get the "Magical Wishes" buttons for newlyweds. They give them out for free at the guest relations area in each of the parks (City Hall in MK). The cast members always recognize these buttons (nearly as much as they recognize the bride and groom hats, which I also recommend). I also recommend that you take it easy while you're there. Enjoy yourself. Don't plan on going full-speed through the parks every single day. Just go with the flow. And don't forget to have fun!!

We will also be there for our disneymoon beginning the 26th of Sept. I'd love to hear how others celebrated. Congratulations aprilshugah.

Head over to the Boardwalk for dinner. Victoria and Albert's is also very nice.

Don't miss Artist Point at the WL for dining, and be sure to take the boat to the MK at least once, it's a neat alternative to the bus or monorail. Are you doing MNSSHP? That might be an interesting honeymoon experience!

whispering canyon is alot of fun & the food is good, make sure to mention its your honeymoon :) for other dining you cant go wrong with any of the epcot world showcase restaurants, romantic & great food. also look into a carriage ride at ft wilderness & check out the campfire there at night or if you want to spend alittle for about $200 you can take a private firework cruise from the WL dock to watch the fireworks infront of magic kingdom. when you head to the parks go to guest services & get the free were honeymooning/just married button. you could also buy those cute mickey & minnie wedding ears, i wore the bride band on our disneymoon.

also look into the wedding & honeymoon forum on the dis for more ideas. congrats & have a great disneymoon!

thank you thank you --all for your reply--congrats to the honeymooners---- :sunny:  :bride:

I went there for my honeymoon too! We loved going to Pleasure Island at night and Epcot was very romantic at night too! Enjoy!!!!

Congrats! You will be starting honeymoon on the day I get married :wizard:

I'll be watching this thread, since we are going to take a Disneymoon next year.

We took our honeymoon to WDW almost 9 years ago! Just wanted to say congratulations!! And to tell you to take the time to smell the roses. I know this sounds crazy, but my best memory was a night at MK, sitting on a park bench, holding my hubby's hand and looking up at the castle! It was one of those really sweet moments where it felt like we were the only two people there.

My hubby is taking me back (just us two) for our 10 year anniversary in '08. This will be our first "alone" trip since our honeymoon. I am really looking forward to that.

Welcome to the boards...You will love your Disneymoon!!

Spend some time around the resort my DH and I were just there a couple of weeks ago for a romantic weekend. Walking around the resort at sunrise together, watching the Water pagent while sharing a lounger on the beach, a stroll through the trails are all wonderful romantic things tro do that don't cost any more money.

Wow, you're just like me!!! DH and I were married 9-28-02 in the Philadelphia area also! Our Disneymoon started 9-29. We stayed at Poly. You HAVE to get the Mickey bride and groom hats and wear them the whole time. Get lots of photos taken from the photopass people, they are my absolute favorite memories. Other than that...remember to enjoy every minute!

evryone is so great in here :cheer2: wish i knew about this while i was planning..you all really would have given me some venting space and really great ideas...congrats to the honeymooners past and present :bride: :bride: :bride: lots of love and happiness p.s. keep the ideas comming :sunny:  :bride:
