Hey thanks for including me and my wife in your trip report. That was us on IASW. I had to get her out of bed to show and we both had a good laugh. We had an awesome week also. We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside and had a nice relaxing stay. It must be a disney curse on batteries as ours died quickly and we also bought the Lithium Batteries in that same Kodak Store on Main Street. I am anxiously looking forward to reading the rest of your report. I guess I need to post mine soon also

That's so funny!! Glad I could including the both of you! Did you have as much fun as we did?

P.S. - Those wonderful "long lasting" batteries just died

Day 3 – 10/10/06

Woke up bright and early to Stitch and Mickey again. However after I hang up the phone I notice the red message light blinking. Turns out it was the front desk that had left a message around 6am letting me know that they have a king room for us and to call her back if we want the room change! I call immediately and tell her thanks much. We shower and get dressed and pack up the luggage again so the bellman can store it. Again.
Here are some pics of room number 2.

We have Princess Storybook breakfast at 8:50 so the plus of staying at the BC is the easy walk to Epcot. We left about 8:30 and walk through the park. Apparently it was extra morning hours and no one was around, it was very nice and quiet.

Sorry for the mass amount of pictures but I thought they were too good to not put up.
We make our way over to Norway and check in and about 5 minutes later they call our name and as we head in they ask if we want to stand in line for Belle. They didn’t have this last year, all the characters walked around. Anyway, we get two-seater table by a pole and all of a sudden this waiter pops up from out of nowhere and starts talking to me. Well Tracy probably thought I was talking to thin air because she couldn’t see him. He eventually walked over and said hello to her and went on his merry way. Waiter shows up and tells us he’ll bring out the food in a few minutes. I have been looking forward to this breakfast since the last time we were here, the cheesy potatoes are awesome.
Honeymoon083.jpg

Shortly after we started eating the Princesses start arriving. First up Jasmine, who is a favorite of mine so I had to get a picture. Not too thrilled with how I look, but I like how she looks
Honeymoon084.jpg

She told us congrats and that it was “A whole new world out there.”
Next up was Snow White, who is Tracy’s favorite so we both had to have a picture.
Honeymoon085.jpg

Honeymoon086.jpg

Mulan came through but was very speedy and didn’t really say much, but we did manage to get a picture.
Honeymoon087.jpg

Sleeping Beauty said hello, congrats and kept walking. That was fine with me, I had my potatoes so I was pretty happy. Gave the waiter my “Key to the World” and when he got back we noticed that we were missing some dining credits, we were down by two. We think for second and realize that when we transferred back and forth, we lost a day so we needed to hit guest services back at the BC later.
After breakfast, we head over to The Land to ride Soarin’. The line was only 25 minutes long so we decided to wait. Wound up talking to a nice father in front of us who was with his son celebrating his anniversary. He lives near where Tracy grew up so that had a little bit to talk about. We get through and head towards the left and are asked to go to row 2. Watch the funny bit with Puddy and then are lead in and walk all the way to the end of the row. I have the end seat in the second row closest to the middle row. Now I’m a little nervous because I know we lift up and I hate flying. But as soon as we lifted off, it was amazing. This ride is a must do! It was unbelievable. We agreed to ride it at least one more time before the end of our trip.
We then walked over to the Seas with Nemo to see if the ride was open yet, but nothing was going on.
Honeymoon091.jpg

Honeymoon096.jpg
We made our way to the Imagination! pavilion to ride and there was a bit of a line which was a little surprising but it was no longer than 10 minutes so we went through the ride which is fun. Afterward we did the email a picture to your friend and family thing, but apparently that didn’t go through at all. It looked like everything worked but we called home later in the week and nothing, oh well.
Took this on the way
Honeymoon090.jpg

We wander around and notice the Character Connection. We’d read about it and wanted to try it so we head in and get in line. We see Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Pluto and Belle.
The next pictures are from PhotoPass, which is must in Disney. If you’re not familiar with how it works, you walk up to a photographer and they give take your picture at least 3 times, scan the back of it and you hang on to it until you’re ready to leave. You can take the card to any location with a photopass vendor. They’ll go through the pictures and you can purchase the ones you want, or buy a CD for $100, which is what we did.
Us and Mickey
DisneyPhotoImage65.jpg

Minnie was cute, she grabbed Tracy and checked out her ring and made her pose with her hand out.
DisneyPhotoImage56.jpg

DisneyPhotoImage54.jpg

Chip and Dale seemed less then thrilled to see us, well me for that matter. Shook hands, moved on.
DisneyPhotoImage53.jpg

Pluto was funny, he pushed me out of the way and grabbed Tracy. I put my groomears on him and they surprisingly stayed on! He was really cool and friendly.
DisneyPhotoImage48.jpg

And lastly, poor Belle standing off to the side. No photopass photographer. No line for her. We got our picture with her because she just looked lonely.
Honeymoon095.jpg

We decide to hit Mouse Gears to do a little shopping but didn’t buy much, just browsing for when we come back. Test Track was already long and we passed on Mission:Space and it was lunch time so we check out the Food and Wine Festival booths and pass on the first couple before settling on the Mexico one.
Honeymoon097.jpg

We had Quesadilla con Chorizo y Pollo, which was very good. It was getting hot so we went to ride El Rio Del Tiempo, which I had never been on before. It was crowded at all, so the CM gave us our own boat! It was a nice small world replica, but it definitely needed an rehab because it smelled like old and the videos were clearly from the 70’s. I see now they are going to rehab the ride for several months!
After the nice cool down, we walk around to find some more food, but stop at Norway to ride the boat ride but it had just broken down so we kept going. Next up was China and the Pork Pot stickers which were also very good. Walked around the world some more, it was a beautiful day. A little warm but we didn’t mind.
Honeymoon100.jpg

Honeymoon101.jpg

Ended up at Italy booth and tried Timballo alla Penne e Capri which was eggplant with ricotta cheese and penne pasta, which was really good. We were having dinner at Alfredo’s but it didn’t bother us. It’s our Disneymoon!
**UPDATE** - Forgot to mention something. We wound up at Japan because Tracy had read about the woman who made "Candy,Caramel" animals. She had a little booth right in front and we were watching her. She is amazing, she'll make anything! She eventually makes her way to Tracy and she tells her to make a flamingo. I have a picture somewhere but apparently I didn't upload it so I'll have to add it later. Tracy was really excited because she read that she only makes them for kids. She couldn't wait to come home and tell the Disers :) I also have a video I should upload too.
By this point it’s mid-afternoon and we’re pretty tired so we walk towards the exit and see Beauty and the Beast in France. We’ve never seen the Beast out for a meet and greet!
Honeymoon102.jpg

Walk back the hotel(Have you noticed the walk back is much longer than going to Epcot?) and went to check in. Again. This time I was pretty confident that we’d get our room, and sure enough we did! She printed out our room cards and I give my luggage card to the same nice guy from before. I think his name is Arneil? He remembered our names and was happy to get us our stuff. The room is right next to the elevator on the second floor, just outside of the quiet pool. From our room we can see water so definitely and upgrade. We still have concerirge access too. Once the bellman arrives, we take a sigh of relief and take in our new room. We can finally unpack! At this point I go down to guest services to get our dining credits taken care of and the woman said she’d have to leave a note with someone but they’d take care of it. I head back to the room and someone is napping again.

I love Homer’s eyes in this. “Uncle Moe, while you eat!”
Honeymoon108.jpg

A room with a view! After some rest, we shower and get ready for our dinner at Alfredo’s at 7:30. Since we were so close we left around 7 and walked back to Epcot where it was PACKED. The Food and Wine Festival is popular! Walk to Italy and see a huge line behind a podium. At first we stand in it, but I look inside to make sure we didn’t need to be in there so I leave the wife and check it out and sure enough the line is for walk ups. Check in and wait about 20 minutes and then get seated and this place is hopping! We wind up sitting right next to(practically on top of) another honeymoon couple! I don’t think we got their names but they were very nice and from up north and it was her first time in Disney. We shared stories of weddings and Disney and had a good time while we ate. Tracy had Mozzarella alla Caprese and I had the Alfredo for appetizers and both were very good. The Alfredo is good as advertised in my opinion. For dinner, I had the Lasagnette Pasticciate alla Modenese and she had Tagliolini Alla Vodka con Gamberoni which were both awesome. Nice sized portions and it filled us up. It was very loud though, so you had to talk kind of loud. For dessert I had a cannoli and she got a chocolate cake thing that may of come with ice cream, we don’t really remember but it was good. While talking with the other couple, they said they were off to see Illuminations and they had reserved seating. We asked how they got that and they had gone to guest relations earlier and they set them up with it. Wish we thought of that. We leave and it’s about 8:30 and it doesn’t start until 9 so we quickly grab a rail with a good view and wait for it to start. It’s still a great show to watch, this is a must see. We wound up standing right behind a cannon and it scared Tracy when it went off, it was startling at first but really cool. After it’s over, we leave with the masses back to the resort and decide it’s too early to go in so we head back to Downtown Disney to look in the stores some more and hang out. We head back around 11 and I set the alarm for 7am again and get some sleep.

If I missed anything the wife will let me know and I'll add the report and make corrections as neccessary :)

Next up – Day 4, Animal Kingdom and Everest!

Hey now - no apologies for lots of pics! You can NEVER have enough! ;)

Day 4 – 10/11/06

Woke up bright and early again to the wake up call. We had originially scheduled breakfast at the Cape May Café which is right in the hotel, but the night before we decided to just cancel it because we wanted to get to Animal Kingdom quickly. We made many changes in our game plan. When I called for our ADR’s, it was exactly 180 days out, and we had a dinner set for every night of the week. We made several changes to ours during the trip, but it was nice to have a backup plan for dinners in case we tried to walk in and places would be full. We had Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party the next evening, and had originally scheduled Boma for 5pm, and the party started at 7, so we thought it would be easier to cancel that and try to get dinner in MK. They didn’t have anything, so we would have to wing it. Tonight we had the Hoop Dee Doo Review, but that wasn’t until 9:30 so we had the whole day. We shower and get dressed and head upstairs to concierge and get donuts, bagel and some juice. We head to the bus stop and wait maybe 15 minutes for the bus to AK. Get through the gates and make a run for Everest and it only had a 10 minute wait, so we grabbed fast passes and then waited in the line and it went fast!
Honeymoon110.jpg

Honeymoon111.jpg

We didn’t really get a good look at the queue since the line moved quickly but from what saw was amazing with the detail of everything. We get seated about mid-pack and the train starts off. I had to stuff my groom ears in the tiny bag in front so not to lose it. I knew exactly what was coming since I’d read and seen the ride before, but was really excited to experience it. Tracy avoided spoilers and pictures because she wanted to be totally surprised.
What an awesome ride! It really throws you for a loop once you start going backwards! It went pretty fast and it’s dark so you can’t see anything. The Yeti was so cool and he was in action trying to grab us. We left the ride excited and ready to ride it again, but our fast passes weren’t until 30 minutes later so we walked around the park some. We head towards Dinoland and check it out. We agree not to ride Dinosaur, but instead ride Primeval Whirl. That was a mistake. What a rough ride! Everest was smoother than that!
Honeymoon112.jpg

I should note, that we got a lot of attention with our ears. The CM’s, guests and even other Disneymooners would congratulate us. Everyone is incredibly nice. Anyway, we check out the new Nemo building, formally Tarzan, much to Tracy’s dismay. We walk back to Everest and get through the fast pass line and check out the other side of the queue. When we get to board, we get the front car! We were both a little nervous but really excited. I wish I had taken out my camera because once you get to the very top, you can see Epcot in the distance! It was an awesome view. The next time you ride, don’t look at the image of the Yeti after you go backwards. Look at the track in front of you, it flips! Went from curved track to straight to take you down the drop. After Everest, we head towards Africa to ride the safari. The wait wasn’t too bad. While in line, I saw this sign and thought the wording was a little off.
Honeymoon114.jpg

We’re in the next to last row, but we’re by ourselves so I made sure to take plenty of pictures. Too many too post, in fact.
Here are some gators

Honeymoon134.jpg

Since we were close to Rafiki's planet watch, we gave it a shot. We were disappointed. I thought it was a train ride through more safari, turns out it's a learning center. We hopped back on the train and headed towards the Jungle Trek and walked through. A lot of neat animals were out and plus it was nice and shady.
Gorilla
Honeymoon139.jpg

Afterwards, we check the times for Festival of the Lion King and we’re close enough that we can run and try to get in.
Honeymoon141.jpg

As you can tell by now, the pictures have the date and time on them. I wanted to set the time and date, but unfortunately they stuck to the rest of the pictures.
We were a little late to the Lion King, and didn’t know if we would be able to get it, but sure enough they let us in and we got a seat towards the back.
Honeymoon145.jpg

Sorry for the blurriness. This was a fun show, the first time I had seen it. There were several unruly people in front that would sometimes distract us from the show, but overall it was good.
We’re hungry so we hit the Tusker House for some lunch. I get some chicken and veggies and Tracy has salmon and veggies, which were both decent. The chicken reminded me of Boston Market chicken, but still tasty. The salmon was good, says Tracy. The desserts were chocolate cake for me and cheesecake for the wife. The chocolate cake was really good and I didn’t want to stop eating it but had to. The cheesecake was good as well, but not as good as the chocolate one.
We were done with AK for the day, and would be for the trip. On they way out, we stop at a photopass photog and get our picture in front of the Tree of Life.
DisneyPhotoImage42.jpg

It was around 2 and we wanted to see the new parade at MK, so we hope on the bus and get there just in time to see it. As we're walking down mainstreet, I hear a woman ask me if I'm from Maryland and I saw yes, how did she know? Was it my Ravens watch? "It's your shirt, silly" says the wife. Ah, forgot I had it on.
I took several pictures of the parade, but I’ll only post a few.

Ok, 9 pictures :teeth:
Since Spectomagic was on tap for the night and we needed to go to MK to get to the Wilderness Lodge for the Hoop Dee Doo, we were going to head back to the room for a few hours and show up just before the next parade. Open the door to the room and find towel swans!
Honeymoon181.jpg

Now before the trip, Tracy had put together envelopes for MouseCleaning with cute phrases like “Thanks for making our Disneymoon Special!” and “Trick or Treat” where we already placed money in them and left them for Luz, our mouse cleaner!

Shortly after the excitement of getting towel animals, someone decides to take a nap.
Honeymoon182.jpg

Next – Day 4, part 2!

Looking forward to reading more about your trip and seeing more pictures. ;)

Day 4 Part 2

After a nap and shower, we’re refreshed and make our way through Epcot to the monorail towards MK for Spectromagic.
Of course we stop at the pin station in front and decide which ones to buy. A friend of mine made a board to put all of our Disney pins on that I’ll post at the end of the report.
Honeymoon183.jpg

Honeymoon184.jpg

We also decide on a photopass as well.
DisneyPhotoImage34.jpg

Arrive at MK about 20 minutes before the parade starts and walk around main street some to kill some time and found a photopass photog, imagine that! This is my favorite picture of the whole trip.
DisneyPhotoImage29.jpg

We get a spot near the exit by the train station.
Honeymoon187.jpg

Honeymoon188.jpg

A few congratulations while were there and then the parade starts. This is our favorite parade, I even bought Tracy the soundtrack after our trip last year!

Honeymoon229.jpg

Once the parade ends, we sprint for the exit and walk towards the boat to Wilderness Lodge. Tried to take some pictures of MK at distance at night but like I mention before, couldn’t get a grasp of night pictures.
About 20 minutes later we end up at the WL WAY too early, so early in fact that the check in person wasn’t out front yet. Dinner wasn’t until 9:30, so we found a spot between the trees for Wishes and watched them. We walked back over and the check in lady was there, gives us our card and says to go get our picture taken. It didn’t really go as planned and I thought at least the photographer would have zoomed in. And then like the sucker I am, I wound up buying it during dinner. Waste of money.
hdd.jpg

Our table number says ‘13’ and we’re not sure what to think of that. Last year we were pretty close to the stage, off to the left. We slowly crawl into Pioneer Hall and the waitress takes us to “Lucky 13” as she calls it. At first she wanted to go through the middle but eventually took us all the way around to the front. The dead center front. Our table was touching the stage. I said, “Really?” and she was like “Really.” We were pretty excited, front row for the HDD! If you see table 13, that’s good luck! First course was salad and yummy cornbread, which I think we ate the whole thing. Then comes the song and dance our dinner is here! We get our food, which consists of fried chicken, ribs, beans and corn on the cob. At one point, they ask around if anyone is celebrating anything and Tracy raises her hand and the blonde one with the laugh announces us to the crowd. There was another honeymoon couple and an anniversary couple too. Then we had to dance in front of everyone, and I couldn’t smile because I had corn in my teeth. Tables laughed and applauded. I wish I had pictures but we were so close I didn’t want to start snapping while they were in the middle of their routine. We were used throughout the show at times. My favorite was when the blonde was dancing and lifting her leg up and up and up and then she looked and me smiling and her partner runs over and gives me a look and point and I blush. She then says “Happy Honeymoon!” and laughs. It’s a fun time, what a great show. Sure it’s a little corny but it’s all in good fun. At the end, they needed volunteers from the audience and whoever they picked as the Indian was funny, even the actors mentioned his performance. After the show, we head to the buses out front. They combine a lot of resorts so sometimes yours isn’t shown, but make sure you ask!
Get back to the room and setup yet another wake up call for 7am. We really didn’t sleep in at all during this trip. Tomorrow was going to be a MGM day and then our first MNSSHP!!

Again, if I missed anything or made a mistake in what I remember, Tracy will hopefully remember

Next up – Day 5, MGM and MNSSHP!

You're doing great so far! Really enjoy and pictures and descriptions of everything ... looking forward to the rest!
