Hi. I haven’t been to Disneyland since I got adult onset asthma but planning on going in a few months. I’m a little nervous because it seems like the air quality is bad and I think it will be wildfire season when I go. Is there anyone here that has asthma that has been to Disneyland and did ok? I don’t want to spend the whole time in the hotel room but don’t want to end up with a flare either. I will only be there a few days and worried about worsening asthma on the airplane. Thank you!

OP Sounds like u r perhaps newly diagnosed.

Suggest addressing ur specific concerns with ur health provider, including concerns re flying.

Developing an Asthma Action Plan
Is helpful. See below:

Consider bringing a mask if u have concerns re wildfire smoke

U can pick up an oximeter on Amazon for under $15 to monitor ur levels if u feel as tho having distress

Good luck. Be sure to bring an extra inhaler along when traveling, Jik one goes missing

Air quality is actually pretty good in that area, the morning humidity sometimes bothers my asthma . I take my antihistamines for allergies to things there and bring my rescue inhaler. I never had a major flare there. But with asthma you need to be prepared wherever you are. Have a great trip.

I go to Disneyland several times a year, I have severe persistent asthma. If the air quality is bad, I wear a mask, no matter how hot it is. I use my nebulizer before going to parks, and if it a bad asthma week, I take it with me and rent a locker once inside the park. When I am ready to use it, I go to First Aid and sit in the air conditioning and do a treatment. The staff is always very kind and accommodating to me. I carry an inhaler on me in a Spibelt so it won't be separated from me, even on rides. Feel free to ask more questions, I am happy to help
