I was looking at their website to have a wedding at Disneyland,,,and i mean inside the actual park. I saw that you can have the ceremony in front of the castle, and the dinner reception in front of Small World or in Fantasyland. I was wondering if anyone knows the price ranges of the weddings in the parks? I will go up to 150k, after that i don't know????

Im not sure of the price, but what I do know is there is no way its over 150k. Holy moly. My friend got married at Disneyworld and got passes to the park for a week, hotel, plane, everything for just under 5k. You are more than ok with 150k.

We are going to have a DL wedding Oct. 31st 2009. We are getting married at the Rose Court Garden at 1130am. Reception in the Sleeping Beauty Room. Then off to the Mickey Halloween Party!
I dont have exact numbers but the Deposit was 2000-. Our Minimum is 10,000.To get married in the park it is like 150,000 or more.DL doesnt give free passes anymore, you would think they would right?
We have yet to plan because it is still a year out. Ill keep you posted.:wizard:

You can actually think of a budget of 150K? Or more?

I faint to think of it.

But anyway.

Considering a "Lavish Wedding Option" involves a "Ceremony in one of the magical and unique locations of the Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort with accompaniment of a classical harpist", a "Cocktail reception in one of our beautiful gardens ", and a "Sit Down dinner" along with everything else, and that's budgeted "from $30,000 — $45,000", I'd say you might be looking at your budget limit.

When we were there in September, we noticed that the Disney Wedding office was in the same building as the DVC people. Maybe you'll get there and decided to lower the wedding budget, and buy into DVC with a couple 10K instead! :):upsidedow

I wonder why it's so much cheaper to get married at WDW than DL? Maybe because they have the wedding pavillion, infrastructure, etc.?? Also, why DL doesn't give free APs??

Not engaged, but a girl can look, right? :lovestruc

when we tie the knot were getting married quick little thing and then off to wdw or dl this is a year or two at least away (as im thinkign we may do chirstmas dl next year) then save for year and do wdw. if we decied to do wdw id say we get married before then lol) just dreams never know when

Hey! I'm getting married at DL in April!! I would call up DL right away and start talking to them. Things change quite a bit so you want to get everything signed so they don't raise the min. on you!

As for why is WDW cheaper? I think it's because they do so many more weddings a year and they have more resources.

Last time I checked (earlier this year) the minimum for an in-park wedding at Disneyland was $110,000 for wedding and reception.

That sounds pretty reasonable. So the ceremony and reception is included? Great thanks for that, i'll keep looking and will have to give the Disney planners a call.

Thanks, i didn't even think about locking in a price or minimums, i should call them soon...

We got married at the GCH in December of 2001 with a guest list of 85 or so and paid about $20,000 including dress, tux, photographer, video, reception with sit-down dinner, flowers, string trio, DJ, etc. Disney provided everything but photog and video.

You can adjust your costs depending upon time of day, meals chosen, etc.

WDW is more of a "primary location" for honeymooners, thus, an easier target for the destination wedding crowd. They have more volume and more locations to fill the demand, so it's easier for them to have lower prices and still make money.

150k or more,,,hmmm. Well we have the finances, i just really don't want to go over 200k......we want to have the white doves, the trumpeters, all of it...thanks, i'll look into it.

wow wdw is like 20k for 18ppl or less humm anbd there package id get for after we get married or just for going to wdw. 7days 6nights and delux dinning and tickets 3400 for 2adults jr and child lol man cant belive im already planing my trip in 2010 to be wdw humm this may have been a bad thread to look at lol

My husband and I were married at Disneyland in the park almost 2 years ago. Although our wedding was probably more expensive than most traditional weddings, it did not cost $150,000.... It was however, worth every penny we did spend..... If you are really interested in a Disneyland wedding I suggest calling Disney directly. The website is not very helpful and they can answer any questions you might have.

I have heard of only 1 couple so far who's had their wedding at Magic Kingdom and that was after they went through a lot of red tapes (emailing the head honcho of the park themselves, etc. etc.).
It is in general cheaper to get married in WDW in the hotels or EPCOT or MGM than in park DL.

Good luck on your planning! I wish we had 150k to spend on ours :)
We spent 22k on ours at WDW (including outside vendors) and had a magical one!

I thought ten grand for ours ten years ago was a lot!!! I think DL would be an awesome place to have a wedding, I wish I would have thought of doing it there.

My first wedding in 1991 was $10,000 for 250 guests - full sit down dinner.

My second wedding in 2001 was $20,000 for 85 guests - also full sit down dinner.

Says something about 10 years of inflation and the change in tastes that we have as we get older....:rotfl:
