I was wondering what are some good websites devoted to Disneyland? I know allears has a DL section and here on the DIS we got this little corner devoted to DL but where else can I go for good pictures, info, etc. On the same note, what Disneyland guide books are the best? Thanks!
I recently asked the guidebook question on this board and based on the opinions, I ordered from Amazon the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2006. I think between this one or Birnbaums Disneyland, you can't go wrong. I wanted the Unofficial one because I believe they're less biased in opinions.
For websites to research Disneyland, I've used laughingplace.com and mousesavers.com. I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites. There is actually a site that lists the restaurant menus, but for the life of me, I can't remember it now.
www.dlresortinfo.com has lots of pictures and fairly current restaurant menus and prices. I like to also use www.laughingplace.com, www.mouseplanet.com. www.mouseinfo.com and www.intercotwest.com. In terms of books, I've found the unofficial guide to disneyland more informative than Birnbaum's Official Guide. For interesting facts about disneyland itself, I loved the book Disneyland Detective.
Oh I forgot, to actually watch the parade, fireworks, electrical light parade, aladdin, and Bill Hill and the Hillbillies, Snow White and Block Party Bash check out www.visionsfantastic.com. You do need to be registered on this site to download the videos though. There are also tons of pictures as well. To find out about ways to save money on trips, there's also www.mosuesavers.com.
