Disneyland Travel Book

I was told by someone recently that I should probably pick up a disneyland travel book to help with my preparations. Can anyone suggest a good book to pick up, I am in Canada, so obviously a local purchase wont work.

Hey Mark, I picked up 'the unofficial guide to disneyland 2009' from coles, chapters and black bond books also have it. Its very helpful with everything you need to know bout planning the trip.
Hope you can find it

I second "The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland." It has a lot of good tips and information. I found this forum because it was mentioned in the book!

I third the "Unofficial Guide". I have the 2008 version, and it is the book I keep coming back to. I am sure the 2009 version is just as good!

As far as "how to do DL" you could do just as well or better than the info in the Unofficial Guide. I liked the book for reference, maps and phone numbers, but Hydroguy has all the best tips for avoiding lines and maximizing your time in the parks.

I have the Birnbaurm Guide and have been happy with it but must admit with all your rave reviews about the Unofficial guide I just put it in my Amazon cart and ordered it.

Another good book, worth considering, is the Disneyland Encyclopedia, by Chris Strodder:

Despite the word "encyclopedia" -- it's a fun book.
