Is the person with the adult ticket a child? I don’t see why you couldn’t do this as long as it’s the same person.

Right. If I wanted to buy him a deluxe AP ($619) and upgraded an adult 5-day park hopper I could save $50. But I don't know if you can use an adult ticket for a child. It's more than the price of a child ticket obviously so I would think it's fine but I'm not sure.

LMT Club sells discount child tickets too. Is there a reason why you’s want an adult ticket instead?

Buying an adult park hopper would lead to more savings ($50 versus about $40).

Disney adult ticket = 350
LMT Adult = 300.87
Savings = 49.13

Disney child = 335
LMT child = 287.97
Savings = 47.03

So, you’d save $2.10 more by getting the adult ticket. Not sure if that is worth the risk of possibly losing the discount if upgrading. I haven’t heard of anyone doing it the way you are suggesting, but I also can’t see a reason why it wouldn’t work the way you suggest.

When buying tickets from third party vendors or travel agents, check if the vouchers/tickets have a bar code. If they do, you can usually go straight to the turnstiles. If the vouchers do not have a bar code, you have to go to the booths to convert them to tickets.

For some reason I thought it was a bigger difference in savings. I'll just buy the child ticket just in case. Thanks for the breakdown!

I am looking at buying 2 day Hoppers and I am finding direct from Disney to be better priced than aRes. Can that be? I am all the way to the point of putting my credit card in to the Disney site and 3 adult 1 child with Maxpass is $1044. Once I click purchase, will it add tax?

The same tickets on aRes without Maxpass is coming up to $1186.

Thanks. I thought so but seems weird that I would have to purchase the tickets from Disney before seeing the final price.

California does not charge tax on theme park tickets. Florida does. There should not be tax added to Disneyland ticket purchases regardless of who they are purchased through.

LMT Club has 3 adult and one child 2 day hopper for $880.44 compared to $964 directly from Disney. That’s before the $80 additional for MaxPass.

I just bought 3, 4 day park hoppers for $890.91, with LMT Club. Saved $110.
