Disneyland Ticket confusion

DL newbie here! WDW veteran though. In April, DH and I will be flying in to SNA in the afternoon, and want to head straight to our hotel,the Disneyland Hotel.

To avoid having a voucher or anything we would have to exchange at the front gate for a real ticket, what's the best way to get our tickets? Can we purchase them at the Hotel? If we buy the tickets online though the Disneyland website, are we still only given a voucher? Just trying to shave off whatever time we can for our first day and would love to avoid lines at the ticket booths!

The DLH can sell you tickets, or change exchange your voucher for tickets. They can also give you I'm celebrating, 1rst Visit, Birthday buttons etc.

If you buy from the Disneyland website you go straight to the turnstile. It's if you buy from orbitz, etc.., you go to the ticket booth then the turnstile.

If you buy the tickets from Disneyland.com, you can go straight to the turnstiles with the printout. They'll scan the printout and exchange it for the credit card sized ticket you'll use for the rest of the trip. It's a very fast process.

We have bought from a 3rd party travel agent and we would be able to exchange them at any onsite hotel for a ticket. So I think if you are staying onsite you won't add anytime, it can all be handled during check in.

Unless you are getting a deal on tickets somewhere, I always advocate for buying them at the front desk if you are staying on site. One less thing to have to worry about and keep track of during your travels. Front desks have full service ticket booth capabilities.

You guys are great! I seriously tried googling various phrases to try and get my question answered. I think I will wait then until we get to the hotel. I have Disney Gift Cards which are easier to use in person.

I can now check that questions off my list!!
